beating the heat

N and V were able to join us at the pool for the day! What perfect weather! It had been blazing hot!

 I wasn't even needed today. The kids played with each other the entire time. I had to convince them to  play with me for awhile! K and V were playing with their babies and taking care of the. They visited the baby pool with their kids and let them get their feet wet!

 This was a very family campground. We loved it! The owners were so welcoming and helpful. They built this cool playground themselves!

Our second day we went kayaking! We spent 4 hours on the ocean ( in a bay). It was great fun! I have blisters to prove it!

Searsport Island

 It was 99 degrees and we went on a bike ride on a very hillie island. It was beautiful island and a beautiful day!! The hills were torture but good exercise! I was a sweaty mess! We didn't have our bathing suits on but that didn't stop Tim and the kids! Stripping down to their skivies!

 Time for more hunting! If you ask C what his favorite part of the vacation was he would say eating muscles and crab hunting!

 Tim spoiled us with great cooking!

 Smores every night! That is my idea of an awesome vacation! ha! love them! Then add a cool camp site, Tim, our kids, the ocean, bon fire and warmth! Perfect combo!

 We had an awesome site right on the water. The tide pooling was great! The first two days and first night we had neighbors with kids the same age and they were inseparable with ours! They were constantly down on the water crabbing. Conner and the boy at the neighboring site were up at 630 am down at the water! They had so much fun!

Lobster Bake

 Our  campground did a lobster bake one night. It was great! Yummy fresh Maine lobster, clams and all you can eat muscles! This was C's first time eating muscles and he ate SOOO many! He competed with the beer belly middle age man sitting next to us! conner won hands down!

 When we were out on a walk the owners asked if we wanted to return the used muscles back to the ocean! It was pretty fun!

Summer in Maine

 After a 12hr night shift, I got home helped finish packing up and we were off! Maine here we come! The kids cooperated with a nap on the way there!

 Our campsite was a hike in! It was perfect! Right on the ocean! We had such a GREAT time!

Joshua Tree

Summer is EXHAUSTING!! K took a quick nap before we arrived at our concert on the ocean!

 It was perfect! It had rained all day and the skies opened up with beautiful colors! Great day on the ocean!

 Joshua Tree is a U2 cover band that is pretty popular up and down the east coast! We use to go to their concerts with C and A! We miss them! We took a bunch of pictures just for them!

 During a band break, C and I went and hunted down the band and got this picture! They were so nice! Someday maybe we will get a pic with U2!!

 The kids enjoyed the music and dancing and then went tide pooling as we still enjoyed the band. It was such a great family night!

Finally......

our friend Jessica, who had been trying for 2 years, is PREGNANT!! So excited for her and A!!! We can't wait to babysit!

First swim meet of the year

 I was so proud of the kids! The meet was at this HUGE athletic club. It was pretty intimidating! They both did great! K swims about 25 laps during practice 4-5 times a week.  She only has to swim 25 yards for each event. Conner only swims 12 yards for each of his events. They both did awesome.

 Kaitlyn swam the freestyle and the butterfly. She came in 3rd for the butterfly!

 Our little man swam the freestyle and the back stroke. For his first meet ever he did AWESOME!!! I was a proud mamma!

 We spent the morning at the dentist! K has a couple teeth that need to be pulled! Fun FUN! The rest of the day we were able go hang out at a friend's pool! We had a blast! Thanks guys!

 The rest of the day 2 of our friends came over and hung out for awhile!  There were many walks for the babies and a little gun range action! See the cool target I made?! Cool huh? I was the best shot out there!
