New Girl in town!

There is a new girl in town and Conner has his eyes on her. This is Molly, a new friend. Conner was chasing her, loving on her and kissing her. She is 1 1/2 yrs old. The kids had a picnic on the floor and Molly had her arm around Conner. It was too cute!

Girl time

We went over to a friend's house for a bbq today. Kaitlyn has been waiting forever for this day. She talks about Matt and Jess all the time. Today, we were able to play with them for awhile. We also met a couple new friends.Might I add we had some great food! Yummy!

Tulips

Anyone who knows me, knows I can't grow pretty plants/flowers very well. I try but no luck! Well, last fall Kaitlyn and I planted some tulip bulbs. We forgot all about it until all these pretty green things start coming up. Then yesterday, one bloomed! Oh i love it! I can't wait till the rest bloom. I lined the front flower bed with them. I love to look at these one that is so pretty! So yes I am proud of myself and simply amazing at the beautiful creation of God!

Sprinklers

I believe it was in the 80's maybe even hit 90 degrees yesterday. After nap time, we dragged out the sprinkler. The water was freezing but Conner didn't care. He drank sooooo much water. He couldn't get enough. He ran around and through this thing so much. It made the grass( which is absolutely beautiful and so green--thanks to Tim) like a slip and slide and he was all over the place. Kaitlyn would rather fill up her buckets and water my plants or move the water from one bucket to the next. Some of the neighbors joined us towards the end of the fun.
We have been using our fire pit all weekend long. The kids love it. We bbq and then sit outside with the fire and count the stars and sing songs. A couple of friends joined us the other night. It is perfect. The kids go to bed after a little while and then Tim and i get to just sit outside and talk...no interruptions, no tv, no phone...just us!
What a great family weekend!

Egg Hunt

Yes, it is a couple weeks after Easter but who says that is the only time you can have an egg hunt? We were coming up with things for the kids to do and I had eggs that I hadn't put in the attic yet so add the perfect weather and there you have it! Nick and Vanessa are some of the kids favorite playmates. Part of the neighborhood gang. They waited so patiently while i hid the eggs.

Dinner out!

Dinner outside with Chloe and Cameron (twins) from next door! Like i said they devoured it!...OH it was baked spaghetti....our favorite!

Chloe and Kaitlyn time

Kaitlyn and Chloe had a fun afternoon a couple days ago. What beautiful weather we have had lately. It turns from winter to summer in two days! So now we are outside all the time. All the neighborhood kids are! Kaitlyn enjoyed sharing. We ate our dinner outside and they devoured it! Their appetites are growing with all this running around stuff!

Baby Samantha

Baby Samantha was able to come out and play with us yesterday! The neighborhood gang is growing rapidly!

Love those chairs

I have been behind on the postings. Life can get a little hectic. Kaitlyn was dealing with her second round of antibiotics for strep throat. Either it never went away or it came back. She doesn't let that get in her way though. I think we are on the road to recovery now. Just a couple more days of antibiotics. If it comes back again, I want her tonsils out!
So the chairs. The kids picked out their own chairs. Conner of course got the one with Mickey Mouse on it and Kaitlyn picked the princesses. Go figure! Well they love these chairs! The don't like of any of the other kids sit on their special chairs and they will drag them around everywhere with them...just incase they get tired and need a seat. Here they are showing their chairs some TLC!

Spring Day at the Zoo

They both walked the entire way. We went around the zoo once, played at the park there,ate lunch, went around the zoo another time and played at the park once more. Kids are passed out right now! We had such a nice day!!
We have been thanking God all day for such beautiful weather! He is the Master of Creation!
At lunch today, Kaitlyn asked each of us what we were thankful for. Conner muttered something, I said the warm sun, and Kaitlyn then states what she is thankful for. "Pink Princesses!"

Curls

Kaitlyn begged and begged for me to put these curlers in her hair after her bath a couple nights ago. As you can probably guess, she insisted I take them out before she went to sleep. They only stayed in 5 minutes! Long enough to get a picture!

All week

Conner was in his own world here with his sippy cup and his thoughts! We have seen spring this week. It has been beautiful!










Kaitlyn wants to put on her skates every time we are outside. She is be coming a pro! She is wearing her favorite rain boots here as well. Cute outfit! HA!

Hunting

Conner ran (literally) around the house all day yesterday with Kaitlyn's home made binoculars around his neck. He made me think of Grandma. We have a storm door on the front door ( for you Californians that is a door where you can have either a screen in it or glass...that way you can leave the front door open and see out but be protected from the elements :> ) Conner would keep going to the front door and using his binoculars to find tigers, birds, bears and all sorts of fun stuff. He was definitely a character yesterday!

Jenga

Thanks Chris and Averi! We had a very nice brunch with our friends for Easter. They are so sweet. They had easter baskets for the kids and awesome food for us! The kids are enamored by them. Kaitlyn is recently into Jenga. We made it to what 33 levels high? That is pretty good for us and even better when we are playing with a 2 and 3 yr old. So we were pretty impressed. Conner passed out in the car in less than 2 minutes after leaving their house.

Pictures

We were running late. We had gone to church and was suppose to be over at our friend's house but i wanted a few pictures before we changed into some other clothes. It was a little windy out so we were trying to hurry.

Dying

Egg dying that is. Kaitlyn enjoyed making the eggs different colors. Conner wasn't too thrilled about it.

Christian Film Festival

Tim was working today, so i took the kids to the Christian Film Festival. We saw a double feature matinee. Veggie Tales and a story of the resurrection. This was Conner's first time at the theater. They both ate enough junk food for the month. What a fun afternoon!

Pine cone hunt

Beautiful day out today. Even though I have 2 ear infections and strep throat, Kaitlyn has strep throat and Conner has bronchitis, we couldn't resist the calling of being out doors. Today is was 60 degrees and what a beautiful spring day. Flowers are popping up and birds are singing. We spent a good deal of time picking up the tiny little pine cones that our tree issues out every year. We were practicing for our egg hunt. We took a nice long walk around the neighborhood and played in the sandbox after eating our lunch on the picnic table.

So proud of you

Instead of a high five, Tim has taught Kaitlyn to give a fist bump! This is what we get all the time now. K and C were eating lunch and K asked Conner for a bump.

EARS

Conner was such a trooper this morning. He was courageous. I was able to go with him into the operating room until he was knocked out. He was just too cute. Now he has two little tubes in his ears. Let us pray that this might help him not get any more ear infections. I was afraid they wouldn't do it because he had a low grade temp this am. I hope he isn't catching my strep throat and ear infections.

Photo shoot

Kaitlyn had her Preschool Spring performance tonight. It was so cute. She surprised her teachers and was the loudest kid on the stage. We were so proud of her. She loves to sing. Some reason my camera and computer are having a dispute and not wanting to work together so i can't upload the video yet. Hopefully they start getting along soon. I would love to share the videos with you guys. After the preformance we came home and had an impromptu photo shoot. I think they cooperated because they didn't want to go to bed yet. We had a very nice family night.

My babies

My babies are growing up! I love this age but i do miss the baby stages as well. I guess that is why some women can't stop having babies. If I could I would definitely have tons more but I am so happy and blessed with what God has given us!

Projects

Conner made an Easter egg at his play group. He was very proud of it. Kaitlyn created a palm branch at preschool. Tonight is her big Easter performance at School. We are all so excited for it. HOpefully I will post a couple videos tomorrow!

We were at our library during story time and the local photographer for the paper was there. She took a bizzilion pics of Conner. We is now famous!
