I have been talking to Conner a lot about him going to Kindergarten next year. He is my little buddy and I'm going to miss him. So I was asking him what I was going to do without him going on errands and shopping with me. I told him I would be lonely and who would take his place. He so sweetly and innocently said, "Don't worry mommy, God with be with you!" He just melts my heart!

So Kaitlyn loves to hand out the mail daily. I knew they both had received their Red Sox kid nation stuff for the year. I had no idea when they were asking how to spell their nick names what they were up to. After they asked a few more questions, i started asking my own questions. I think it is cute they were helping me out! Zippy and Goose are the best!

It's coming

Can it really be true? Conner will be 5 in about 3 weeks! He of course is excited for his birthday. He wants a lego birthday. I think we could go all out on legos when he is a bit older. Not sure how much his friends will be into it this year. I think we will just go with decorations and lego cake. We are having the party at the YMCA gymnastics center. The kid sweats every once of water out of him there. We made the invitations the other day. Here is the front of the card!

Conner and I have started his valentine's gifts for his friends. We made magnet hearts, airplanes and cowboy hats. We just needed pics of his friends for the card. Poor Ms. Debbie (Conner's teacher) ...whenever I pull out the camera she gets nervous! I promised to keep her out of these!

We made it skiing again this past weekend! I love family days!

last minute skating

Boy, I had soooo much to do yesterday! (today is even more jammed packed) I could list what i accomplished yesterday but it would bore you! I didn't have time to take C skating. I have NEVER been ice skating so how could I take a four year old who has never been. Well a friend texted me to meet them at the rink and i came up with a lot of excuses but decided to move things around on my schedule so we could go. So blessed that we did. Thora tried skating for the first time as well so it was the three of us and I think we did pretty well. Thora is a natural! Conner loved it too even though i think he needed bigger skates and i didn't tighten them well. They were so cute!The best part of the day was that I didn't even fall! I was pretty proud of myself! :) Oh plus, we still got everything accomplished yesterday! Who needs a clean house when you can just enjoy the day with your four year old!

6 year molars

Check out this shirt. This is what i found this morning when I woke K up. She has been complaining of her gums hurting. I noticed that her molars are starting to come it but they look VERY painful. She hasn't lost any teeth yet however finally three are loose ( she is the last one in her class to loose any teeth--most lost them in kindergarten). She has been having problems with the molars and i might have to take her in. Not sure her mouth has any room for them yet! Anyway back to this shirt. She dabbed her tooth over and over using her shirt! Come on!! The stains came right out! yippe! The molars are still trying to come in!

Another family day

Love these days! Tickets were a great investment this year. We could use some more snow around here though! Of course it is already February so maybe we could have more snow north of here! The view is amazing and this isn't even at the top! Conner has amazed us! He is a pro! He went down all the intermediate slopes this time. Now the beginner hills are way to boring for him especially when he needs to wait for his mom. He got annoyed with how long it would take me to get down the slope. He would take off and time would have to haul butt to catch up. He isn't just fast he can also stop on a dime! It was awesome to see! So proud of the little guy! He likes to put one arm up in the sky when he is going fast and he yells YAHOOOOOOO! ( look how you can see over that drop there. Next time he wants to try a diamond! yep not me!)If you double click on this you can see K putting both her poles up in the sky! So cute!

New friend

All of K's play dates have been with friends from Kindergarten. This is the first play date with a girl from first grade! She is adorable huh? I am telling you she ALWAYS has this cute smile and smiley eyes! It was refreshing to see them playing sweet little girl things like My little ponies! It is amazing to see how many little girls don't play little girl things. They grow up too fast! This was a fun play date for all of us...we got to play charades!

Tuesday afternoons

Tuesday afternoons, Conner and I get to hang out with these kids! We have a great time. Conner joins the kids like he is a first grader and they accept him. I volunteer at K's school once a month on a Wednesday. I get to spend time with the entire class then. Now i also get to go in on every tues (with Conner which i think is cool) and take this small group out for some fun reading stuff! Conner and I look forward to it every week....however it is proof that I couldn't be a teacher! Kudos to all you teachers out there!

Thora Time

Conner is always asking me for a play date. Kaitlyn seems to score all the play dates lately! So we met up with Thora and Tristan for a morning of fun at aMAZEment. He was a sweaty ball of mess! That means he was having fun!

Diving

K's friend has been going to diving lessons at the local HS and K wanted to join in on the fun! She went for the first time this past Sunday night. She had been talking about it for well over a week! She was definitely the youngest one there! She tried hard...couple more times and I'm sure she will be a pro! She is one determined little girl!

Dylan is now 6!!

So half of last weekend is lost in iphoto somewhere and I can't retrieve them. It is driving me crazy! We went skiing and we came home to a snow storm and have the most awesome sledding hill. This year we extended it down our neighbor's yard right into the street. What an amazing saturday! Still, we were able to go to Dylan's party last weekend! We will probably have Conner's party here as well. Conner was a ball of sweat..it was dripping off of him!WHEEEEEEEE!!!!
They are growing up so fast!

Big girl

Kaitlyn is such a great little girl! Although we are so much alike and BUTT heads ALL the time, she makes me smile every day. What a blessing she is to us! Here she is getting her and Conner's breakfast ready!! LOVE this kid!
