Labor of Love

Tim has spent many weekends creating this awesome place for the kids to play. Since our back yard is quite sloped, it took a lot more time and effort than these pictures can demonstrate. Tim is such a loving father. He is so good with these kids. They listen, obey and love him. K and C got to officially try it out tonight after dinner. They love it! Let's hope there will be no broken arms!

Mounds

I missed all the fun last night. I was at work when the truck came to deliver all the playground chips. Kaitlyn, Conner and Daddy were able to haul all of this away before I got home. They still had time to make smoothies and take baths. All I can say is
WONDER DAD!

Do Re Me Fa So La Te Do

Kaitlyn loves watching kids sing. Her Grandma has sent many CDs and DVDs of kids singing. She has learned many songs this way. I DVR'd The Sound of Music a couple weeks back and now I get the pleasure of hearing this song several times a day.

Goof Balls

We love our neighbors. These two are the twins that live in the house behind ours. Their mommy is so good to us. Sometimes there is a short overlap btw Tim getting home from work and me leaving. Yesterday, there was too much traffic so Tim was late. All I have to do is call up Lisa and she is always willing to watch the kids for me. Thanks LIsa!

That is what K was telling me today. She brought this master piece home from preschool on tues. She like to give me a step by step of how each project was made. She loves to use scissors. She can cut for several hours straight.

What we do on a rainy day

Meal Time

This is what meal times look like in our house. It often gets quite loud as they both like to say/sing different prayers. When Tim is at the table with us we all hold hands and say the Lord's prayer together. It just touches my heart to see my babies pray!

Sorry Angela! I know this bike would get more use in Cali but now that you showed it to me.....I want it too! How cute is that? I never win anything so i don't think you have anything to worry about. What a cute bike!

all morning long

Wonder what we did all yesterday morning? After breakfast, we headed outside. We were outside playing until lunch time. I got nothing accomplished but I enjoyed watching and playing with the kids. While i was siting in the sun watching K and C, I fell asleep a couple times. I was just so tired and the sun was so warm I just drifted off. Conner kept coming over to me shaking my knees and saying "MAMA!" He thought it was a game but i seriously was nodding off. Good thing they are watching me! Finally, we went inside for naps and I got ready for work. I should really add some of my good nursing stories on this blog.

Torture

Having an older sister can be fun! We had friends over last night and the kids love to entertain. Here is Conner's comedy routine! He thought it was hilarious. We couldn't stop laughing at how he was walking in the heels. He makes a very cute Minnie!

Pals

Kaitlyn asked to watch the "Kids sing" on tv the other day. She likes the Sound of Music. I turned it on and she climbed up on the couch and Conner followed. I was getting breakfast ready and turned to look at them and this is what i found. It just touches my heart. I hope it stays like this!

Water people

Summer has hit!! WHooo Hooo! 90+ degrees last week. We had a swimming day! When i picked K up from preschool, her teachers were telling me how she couldn't stop talking about going to the pool after school. I had filled up the pool early that morning so the water would warm up. So after school, We spent 2+ hours swimming with some neighbors in our little blow up pool. I bathed the kids in sun screen and do you think i put any on me??? Nope!! Dummy! So now my thighs are bright red as well as my shoulders! UGh!! I had to take K to urgent care thurs night. She had an abscess. She is not on antibiotics again. Well when we left the nurse had to tell K to remind her mommy to use sunscreen. THANKS cuz i didn't know that!

Hard work

The kids love the sand box. We are in it almost everyday which means we have a very sandy house. The sandbox was Tim's project last year. Wait til you see what he has been up to this year. A huge project. We are about half way done. I was going to take pictures as we progressed but I guess I will just surprise everyone with pictures of the finished project! Now don't I have your curiosity up? HA!

Could it be??

Yes, it can! I had my camera and I didn't take a single picture! Kaitlyn's exact quote was "That is so sad, Mom!" She said it will the saddest tone in her voice. We drove over an hour today for our friday outing. K, C and I went to Southwick Zoo. We had a great time and got to see REAL zoo animals. I was so bummed to pull out my camera and have the battery dead! Ugh! How frustrating especially when you love taking pictures of your kids looking cute. They were adorable today so you will just have to imagine them looking at all the cute baby animals together. Walking hand in hand. One of our favorite animals was the elephant. We watched a half hour show of all the tricks the elephant could do. They both were mesmerized. Conner was a trooper. He woke up with a fever and it never went away. 101. Not too bad but not sure what is causing it. Got home and after his nap he still has it. You would never know. Kaitlyn has an abscess that i took her to urgent care for last night. She didn't get to sleep til 10pm which is 2 hrs late for her. She was so giddy she couldn't stop talking. She is on antibiotics again. Neither of them are acting sick at all. So I am sure they will be fine. okay off to change a dirty diaper.....the work of a mother! ha!

My Bday celebration

What a great week. On Monday, we went out to dinner. Friday, we had a bbq with a bon fire and my favorite ice cream cake. I received some awesome gifts. I will post those later! Just a really nice bday. I love my family!

Our Buddy

Kaitlyn is such a mother hen. Kaitlyn and Conner get to go to Sunday School together right now. They have a 2 & 3 yr old class. They love going to "school" together. The teachers say she takes very good care of Conner. She is his protector....although i don't think he really needs it. He is as big as most three yr olds.
Nick comes over regularly to play. They all play very well together.

Windy Afternoon

Kaitlyn had a couple friends over after preschool today. We had a nice little lunch and had fun playing together. Kaitlyn was just so excited about it all. She was giddy all morning. I think she showed them every toy and all the fun things she could think to do around here. Conner doesn't stop talking and he is just loud. He had a fun time hanging with girls.

Wanna Come?

Kaitlyn sent out most of her birthday party invites today. She is so excited. We are having her party at Jump on in. Anyone in the area June 6th come jump with us!!

20 ft x 20 ft

Who knew this would be so grueling? We decided to make a playground in our backyard. We have plenty of land so we started digging! And digging! After 2 yrs of making our grass so beautiful and green, we tore it up. 400 square feet of grass tearing and hauling away. It took us 4 hrs sat to accomplish this. And then we filled the area with wood chips. We still have tons to do but I am excited we got this far in a day. We still need to put together the playground (which i heard is very time consuming) and then Tim is going to build a border around the wood chips so we can keep them in the proper spot. Tim says it reminds him of the martial art pits in the Marine Corps. The kids have already tried it out. They have been trying their wrestling techniques out in there. Fun Times!

I am blessed Day

Having two kids did not come easy to me ( I am sure that is the same for most of you). For those of you who know my story, being a mom of two took a lot of prayer! A lot! I definitely call this my day of blessings. God has entrusted these two little lives to us and what a responsibility. So amazing that He chose us! I only hope to make Him proud!
I awoke yesterday morning to take a long hot shower, go fold some laundry and then run upstairs before the kids woke up so I could pretend to be asleep. I didn't realize how loud my kids are in the morning until yesterday. Conner does everything loud anyway but they were excited to be making me breakfast in bed. They made a beautiful card for me and came upstairs giggling the entire way. They "gently" woke me up. HA! We had a nice breakfast then dashed off to church and then back home to do some yard work. After naps we took a very long walk and played at the park. What a great Mommy's day!
Kaitlyn made me a really cool pin and planted a flower for me. Tim brought me home some beautiful tulips!
I want to give a shout out to my wonderful mom! She is awesome and taught me everything I know! Thanks mom!!

Finally, my blog is a book!

I have been wanting to make my blog into a book for at least a year now. I figured it would be my journal to the kids or at least something I could look back on and remember. I do a scrapbook for each kid (however I am almost 9 months or so behind). This blog I update several times a week. I finally found a site that will download your blog and make it into a book for you. SSSSOOOOOO simple. It is a beautiful book. Looks like a yearbook. I love it. I will still look for something better. The picture quality isn't as good as I like and all the pictures are the same size. But i really didn't spend anytime on it at all. I couldn't do the entire blog....too many pictures so I experimented with just 2008! All in one book. The only downside is that Tim doesn't want any pictures of him on the blog sooooooo that means he isn't in the book! I might have to make this blog private and then maybeeeeeee just maybe I can put his handsome mugshot on here!

Just chillin

I love when there is nothing for us to do or go for the day. Especially, when it is beautiful outside. A couple friends came over to hang out while we were playing.

Splashing

Conner's friend gave him this rain gear. Very cute frog rain boots and rain jacket! Conner was a little skidish at first but now he doesn't want to leave the house without his boots and jacket. It was warm outside and He definitely didn't need a jacket on today. It was beautiful this am. Conner is learning how to pose from Kaitlyn. Here he is at his finest!

Pink Carnation

It was nurse's week. We had all kinds of junk food at the hospital. Just what every nurse needs. HA! Yeah right. Well another nice little treat were these carnations we were given. I brought a pink one home from work for Kaitlyn last night. I woke her up this am with it. She loves it! She wanted to get some pictures with it.

Our friend is growing fast
