Night out with A and C

We were able to hang out with our friends C and A last night. The kids came with us. We finally found a REAL bowling alley.It was 30 minutes from here. None of the candlepin bowling for us Californians ( C and A are from Cali too!) Ten pin bowling, I never realized that is what this kind of bowling was called. I actually didn't know there were different kinds of bowling til we moved here. Anyway, Kaitlyn and Conner are just smitten with A and C. They are so good with the kids too. They actually could totally pass as their parents. Kaitlyn is usually shy even though she knows them but last night she was just too excited to see them. She planned on them spending the night in the spare room even though they live 5 minutes away. Kaitlyn fell in love with C today...snuggling with him and everything. It was cute and surprising to us. They stayed up like troopers with us. I don't think K went to bed til 11pm and Conner passed out on the way home. They love being out and about! Thanks A and C for a fun evening. The kids love you guys!

We were all outside this morning getting the snow blower put away and bringing out the lawn mower. Oh i love spring! The anticipation of warm weather! As you have seen before the kids love to chase each other. They must have done this for like 45 minutes straight. Conner tried taking a nap in the chair after this. Fun times!

Warm evening

We had a nice evening outside. We were able to spend time with all of our neighborhood friends which was fun. Finally the start of our long summer evenings! We just love being outside every chance we get!

My firemen

These two have so much fun together. Well, not sure Tristan is wild about Conner but Conner loves this kid. He loves babies but he is really partial to Tristan. It will be fun watching them as T becomes more active. Conner just likes getting in his face right now and talking to him. He also likes sharing his Mickey Mouse with him. Thanks E for bringing T and T over!

Round and Round

One of their favorite things to do is run around this house. They can do about 6 or 7 different circles on the first floor of this place. Their giggles can get contagious. They really do look out for each other and enjoy playing with each other. Now that I have this video thing back I might be posting a lot of these. Sorry!

The kids love our driveway as I have mentioned before. Things go fast down it. It is only a matter of time before someone's head cracks open. At least they will have fun until then. I have been thinking about making them wear helmets whenever we are outside but where is the adventure in that!?

Growing up

This weekend, we took Conner out of the highchair and let him sit in K's booster seat (K sat on a blanket on the chair). Conner loved being right up at the table with us. He loved sitting in KeeKee's seat!

This pic doesn't show this very well but Kaitlyn had a little fun during nap time. I was at work this weekend and when Tim got K up from her nap she had her dry erase board in bed with her. He noticed she got the pen on her comforter but figured it would wash out. Well, when she put her pjs on, he noticed she must have been a little bored during naptime. She had pen markings all over her legs and arms. She is a crazy little girl!

This morning we are waiting to go to story time at the library. As we wait, Kaitlyn wanted to make "funny faces". Here she is doing her fish impression. Pretty good if I say so myself. We were using the squeshy face feature!

AWWW How Cute

I hope they don't get mad that I am plastering their pic on my blog but I am really excited for them. This is my big bro, Jeremy, my bestest buddy and nephew, Isaac, Brenda and her little girl, Kira. I am so excited that God brought them together.....by using me...hahaha... I had very little to do with it ( but I will take credit forever 8> ). I am just so thrilled that they are happy and having a good time together. Don't they look cute? Ok enough...I am just so happy for them!

Oh right, Kaitlyn is asking me to ask them to get out here and visit us! It is warming up and is beautiful here!

10 years ago, Tim bought our Blazer. 10 years ago...hard to believe. He bought it when we moved out to Virginia and it has been with us everywhere since. It is a great car and has seen some awesome times! We are going to miss her! 8) Our driveway will seem empty but we will have so much more room to play now. For some reason even though we have a huge green grassy yard, the kids love the driveway best! So we said good bye to our old Blazer as she drove out of our driveway to provide a new family with some fun.

This pic is a couple months old. There is no snow on the ground now! Thank God I feel spring a comin!

Southie

What a fun afternoon. We headed down to Boston in the am. We went to a house in South Boston for a party. What a great family we spent time with. There were so many kids there. K and C had so much fun just running around. We then headed to the St. Patty's Day Parade. It would be cute to make it a tradition. What perfect weather! It hit 60 degrees and we all came back with some color in our face! We were excited to see the Marine Band from Cherry Point, NC where we once were. Just a fun family day!


The kids really enjoyed watching the dogs, horses, people, and vehicles.....

Well past nap time and our little ones were still truckin!

Theeee Plane Theee Plane

We went to the community airport for brunch yesterday. The kids loved it! We got a great window seat and watched the planes take off and land. Conner went crazy watching all the action. What a fun place. They devoured their food as well.


After brunch, we went outside to see some of the action. This truck had just finished filling up one of the planes with gas and then went and parked and lifted its hood. Kaitlyn asked, "Why does he have his mouth open?" So cute!


Just a really nice afternoon! We will definitely do it again!

Fun Night

Kaitlyn and Conner were overly excited that N and V were feeling well enough to come over and play! They had so much fun. Conner was running around just giddy! He is really talking up a storm and can say N and V so cute as well. I love to see him learning. It is just an amazing gift God has given us...the gift of children. It truly is a gift. Sometimes I might need to remind myself of that but truly what a blessing!

Argentina

Our neighbor came back from Argentina bearing gifts...how sweet! B, K and S came over to deliver the gifts and to play with Kaitlyn and Conner. Their baby is the one with the big beautiful eyes and perfect eyebrows in the below posts. Conner loves that little baby. I think he says her name sooo cute! The kids love the gifts and I can't wait to use mine. I will post a pic when I use it.

Books..Books and more Books

"AWWW MOM!! Not the camera again!"

Conner loves his books! We went to story time at the library today. Oh this was so precious. K and C were so good. They left my side and sat with the other kids, sang, did the motions, learned more sign language, listened well and participated in craft time. WE had such a good time and will be looking forward to doing it again next week.

Long time no see

We are finally healthy so we can start visiting with our friends again! T and T came over for a visit. Conner loves babies!! He can't get enough of this little guy. He says their names so cute, i love it!

Ok, yes i was a little scared this am when i dropped K off at preschool. I collected things from her cubbie and I found this. I was shocked. Ha! She has been talking a lot about our dead fish but really.... So i took the pic back into the classroom to find the teacher. Big sigh!!! K's class has been learning about different countries. Last week K came home with a little china doll hat and she was saying KNEE-HOW. So this picture is suppose to be a chinese symbol for love but the teacher said she got carried away with the black paint. Ok...that works for me.

Our friend is months old

This afternoon Kaitlyn was surprised when she woke up from her nap, to see her friend. We had the previledge of watching our friend for a little over an hour. The kids love her. Kaitlyn was asking if daddy could have another baby for us. I had to laugh.
We hadn't been able to spend much time with our friend, since we had been sick for so long this winter. Now we need to play catch up. Thanks for sharing her with us K and B!

Saturday

What a great day....what a great weekend. I worked but we had great mornings and afternoons. We went skiing on sat morning. We have a ski resort in our town. It is about 5- 10 minutes away. Kaitlyn was finally able to get back on the slope after her bout with pneumonia. It is so cute to watch her and Tim come down the hill. Tim was laughing because when he skis behind her, you can see her looking all around and taking it all in...not paying attention to where she is going. She has to do more when he skis beside her or in front of her. Do you see that Tim is in short sleeve? This weekend it was spring here. In the 50's ...i even got a little burnt (I am a ghost so that wasn't too hard). We were outside all weekend. After skiing, we came home to play outside and had another picnic in our backyard. Today we got what....6 inches or so of snow! We are just thankful for the treats God gives us along the way!
