Love Newburyport

We love this place. It feels like home. In some ways it reminds me of our place in Solana Beach! We miss that place. We went to a little breakfast dive down on the beach this am and then went on a long bike ride. We finally found the Rail Trail! It was a beautiful ride. I do think i need to invest in the MAMA seat for my bike but so far so good. No major crashes this year....YET!

BonFire

The kids had a smoky time last night as we enjoyed pie with friends and a late night with just mom and pop! Sporting the Red Sox gear!

BBQ

We went to a BBQ yesterday with a bunch of K's preschool friends. Nice Night! The kids had a blast!

Let's Remember

Can you believe it???

Yep...she is turning 5 next week! We just sent out invites. We were going to try to have the party at the pool but things didn't work out. So we are inviting 17 kids to our house for the party! Crazy I know especially since it is calling for rain next Sunday...but who knows we are hoping for a beautiful sunny day!

Another beach day....

We went to a new beach today in a small little awesome beach town that we might just decide on moving to! Loved it! Reminded me a little bit of our old stomping ground of Solana Beach! The sand was perfect! We had a great day........then our car battery went out while we were out shopping and all i could do was give thanks that it happened when Tim was with us and we had closed the sun roof before it happened because while we were sitting in the car waiting for a jump, the thunder storms rolled in and the heavens broke up with tons of heavy rain! There was so much to be thankful for including where we got stuck had a bathroom since K had to use it twice with upset stomach and Conner had to use it as well....yes sooo much to be thankful for!

New bed

So i should have waited to get better pictures but i was in a hurry for C to get to bed. He loves this new bed. He is king of his new bed. He will go to his room and just play and play on the top or in his little fort area. The desk doesn't have a chair yet but as you can see in these pictures it does have a desk light that he loves. He has pictures of all his favorite people at his desk. He loves opening his own drawers to get his clothes out and then he has these "secret" drawers in his desk where he puts tons of "stuff". I wish I had a bed like this when i was little! So much fun to be young!

A day at the zoo

We headed out to the little zoo yesterday. It is the perfect size zoo for toddlers. Not a whole lot of big zoo animals but it has black bears, jaguars, coagars, yaks, wolves, mountain goats and our favorite Monkeys! We need to get to the big zoo soon. Conner wants to see all the Madagascar animals....he will list them off for you. I think he has seen the movie once but he has a book that he loves to carry with him. It was a perfect day at the zoo...minus all the field trip kids!

Let the beach days begin!

We met up with Thora and Tristan yesterday. It was 90+ degrees out there. Lovin' it!!! WE hadn't seen T and T since C's birthday and it was fun to catch up and watch the kids play! They jumped right into the waves. It gets easier and easier taking the kids to the beach each year. I love all these different stages of life!

First Appearance

Our pool has made its first appearance for the year! Good times lie ahead!

Sunday Bike Ride

We broke out the bikes for the year. Yes in California you never really put your bike away. Here we put our bikes away and pull out the skis, snowboard, and sleds. Summer is here. Tomorrow i think it should be about 90 or high 80's. Beach here we come. Anyway, this was a long bike ride....okay not long for the average biker but long for an out of shape biker like me! I think we went a total of 12 miles but most of it was on a bumpy gravel road. We took the trail out through Plum Island. There were tons of bird watchers out....Grandma..you would have loved it! It was perfect weather. The kids fell asleep on the ride back.


Yes that is me in a very sweaty shirt after the ride. Thank God Tim doesn't listen to me or we would have turned around long before we did! It reminds me of when Tim and I hiked the Grand Canyon...down to the river and back in one day. If it wasn't for Tim and me needing to prove myself....i probably would have been horse backed out! HA!!!! I love those memories!!

Farewell Party

Our friends Chris and Averi are packing up and moving back to Cali! Yay for them! Sad for us! We are happy for them. We hosted a bye bye party for them this weekend. Perfect weather, great food, fun people! WE are going to miss them!

We are proud of our friend, Averi! She received her Master's degree on thursday! What an accomplishment!

We are going to miss these....

These were given to us my our neighbor. Brand new pair of tennis shoes. It took C about 6 months before he grew into them and then he practically wore them every day for well over a year! We love this pair of tennis shoes. We definitely used them well....you should see the bottom of them. Now we say good bye to the "redsocks" shoes.(We switched the laces out so C could use his red sox laces)

This couch has been with us for about 7-8 yrs and you can tell it! I have always wanted some colorful pillows. Finally, i decided to grab some fabric and try covering them myself. pretty easy. I am starting to feel like Martha.
The coloring dosen't go with the room as much as I would like but it will do for now!

Rain Date

Kaitlyn had a date with 4 boys today after school. She was in heaven and enjoyed every minute of it!! it was so cute.
