He did it!!

Conner has been swimming without his "bubble" all summer! so proud of him! He loves to jump in, however, the diving board has been a little scary. It's 11 feet over there! I told him when he goes off the board we can have a playdate party at our house with his friends! Guess I better start planning the big event! :0) He is so happy and proud! Getting ready!

We went on a park hunt

After the farm, we spent the afternoon looking for new parks! We found two! One of them is a really cool one with a pond. Next time we are going to go frog hunting there. The kids were catching these HUGE tadpoles. Huge. They also found frogs and turtles. We are going to come prepared next time!

Back to the farm----blueberry time

This kid LOVES his blueberries. I was surprised there were any berries left when we got home!

The watering hole....

is where we spent our afternoon. We met a bunch of friends here. It is tucked back in the woods so it is a little hard to find. I use to take the kids here when they were younger....before the pool. I guess we came here once last year. It is more fun with a bunch of friends. I couldn't capture them all in this photo. There were 14 kids in total there with us. Fun times!!

T and T time

We haven't hung out at T and T's house in a year or so. We've seen them but usually at our house so this was really fun for the kids. They have a new pool just their size. It was fun! The favorite part of their house is the green jeep! They rode that thing forever!


Thanks guys for having us over! We had a great time!

Chores

So we did some work around the house before we took off for the day. We started painting the "clubhouse". We only did the roof. We are trying to use just the leftover paint in our basement. The kids worked hard and our necks were sore from looking up! It rained hours after we were done so we will have to see what it looks like this morning. At least it is just the ceiling.

We spent our day at the beach! The kids LOVE the sand! Oh the things they can make! What a beautiful day! Our two crazies! Brotherly love!

We ended our day with dinner at the pool! The chlorine has been high lately so the googles have come out a lot more recently! This pic reminds me of the movie UP where the kid wears his googles.

Excited

Conner has been patiently waiting for almost two months for this party! He has been so excited that this is HIS friend's party and not one for one of his sis' friend. He is growing up!! AWW!! He really has ben beyond excited! I stayed up and slept a little while Tim took C to the party! A three hour party! :0) The party boy LOVES snakes so the reptiles came to the party as well.

This little kid is so cool! He is my most favorite 4 year old ever! Today, Conner told me he never wants to grow up! He wants to stay little forever! No kindergarten for him. :0)

A day with friends

We had the pleasure of having one of K's school friend, H, over for the day! It has been VERY hot here so we spent the day at the pool!

We we got home it was water balloon fight time. I had promised Nick a good fight and a good fight we had. Somehow I became the target of the balloons! I was soaked and it felt good!
K and V in the club house with their girls! This is one of our projects this summer....to paint our club house. Summer is almost over and we have a lot left to do!

Back into the groove

It was hot today! Loved it! We spent most of the day at the pool! K and C started having tea parties under water! I couldn't catch them both in mid air at the same time but I love this second pic of C looking with a big smile at his big sis! So fun to watch them play together! They are so blessed to have each other to play with! So glad they get along and hoping it lasts!

We made it to the drive in! LOVE the drive in! It was a perfect summer night! Can i tell you how excited I was....I couldn't believe it.......I actually saw a bunch of fireflies!! I've been looking for those every summer since we moved here and this is the first time I've seen it!

Conner was beyond thrilled to see Cars 2! He was telling me all about the characters as the movie played! AWWW memories!

We're Home

We made it back yesterday! The kids are actually still sleeping and it is almost 11am and they went to bed at 8pm. I think we are still adjusting to being back! We took the red eye and they( including Tim) slept the entire time and i think I got about 45 minutes. We got to catch up with the neighbors that evening! It is suppose to be in the 90's for the next several days!Tim called me out to the deck to check out the sunflowers. I knew they grew tall but these things are crazy. I didn't realize how think their stalks were. My hand barely fits around it. So we missed most of our peas. K usually picks them right off and snacks on them when she wants but we weren't able to do too much this year. She ate a bunch before we left but most were dead by yesterday. I brought a bunch in the house and Tim ate them and said they were yummy! I think the sunflowers provided too much shade. We do have two tomato plants that have a couple on them and then our squash is growing too! I'm just excited for the sunflowers to raise their heads!!

Day 14-- Frisbee

So this was our last day in Oregon. We took the red eye so we had all day to kill. We started it off my going shopping. YAY! Can i tell you what a difference the West and East coast are. Or at least the difference between the Northeast and the Northwest. They are nice in the Northwest. We already knew that but I think after 4 years of being here you forget it until you go back. AWWW it was very refreshing. There is actually customer service out there and people are considerate of others ( for the most part). Here in NE they are a little brash!

Anyway back to this picture. Conner has had this pair of vans for 2 years now. I had him wearing them when they were probably a little big. They were Isaac's first but since Jeremy buys Isaac a new pair of shoes every three months or so they were in awesome condition. We bought a new pair on this day and it was kinda sad throwing them away. Tim thought I was crazy taking pictures of them but I love how wore out they were. His toe was about to poke out and the sole was worn out with holes! AWW.... these shoes hold memories!! :0)
We had several Cold Stone gift cards that we hadn't used because we don't have one locally so we brought them with us and splurged! Yummy! We then bought this Oregon frisbee and headed to the park where we hung out until dinner time. Frisbee throwing is not the easiest thing. The kids were determined to master it. :0) A very fun afternoon!
Conner can throw that thing pretty good! He makes this hilarious face when he throws it- a half strength and half concentration face just like his dad!

Tim use to work at The Old Spaghetti Factory back in our college days. He would always get off of work and have this been working in pasta and sauce all night smell. His apron would be so dirty but he pulled in some nice tips! This restaurant holds a special place in our hearts ;0) so much so that we visited two different ones when we were there! Yummo!! I woke up the next morning and my belly was still full.
Our trip to Oregon was awesome! We had such a good family time! I loved it! I could see us moving there one day!
