My little Lady

We had to make a quick stop at the store today. We were on the freeway(nobody calls it that up here---they don't even know what it is), I had to turn around and take this pic fast. I asked her to remember 4 things we needed at the store. She figured she would write them down on the way there. It was so cute! She did an awesome job....I'll have to find the paper and take a pic and post it!

First of many to come

What a difference a kid makes! This was C's first big play date. He usually just has fun with the neighbors or K's friend's siblings who are his age! These were HIS friends from preschool. This was a completely different play date than I am use to. Their were monsters chasing bad guys, fighting with guns, wrestling and calling each other "stinky face" and everyone laughing about it! This was a hilarious playdate! K's are fun too just usually much quieter and calmer! I am so thankful to have one of each! I love seeing all the differences!
Do you see my sunflowers in the background? They are getting SO HUGE! Of course look at these boys! They are getting huge too!

VBS

This year we actually made it to VBS! It goes from 6-8pm, so last year it was too late for them (maybe for me). This year we have invited a lot of friends so it has been fun. We are hoping they will start coming to Sunday School with us! We picked J and J, some of K's fun and favorite friends. We had an Oreo fix before we went in!

I'm sad!

Today was sad. Not really because she finished kindergarten but because things will be changing! K had such and awesome group of kids in her class and the moms are amazing too! We had a very fun year! Next year they will all be split up! How can they do that to us!! So sad! I have to trust God has a plan! She does have one girl and one boy that she knows in her class! Please join me in praying that she finds an awesome friend in her class and that she loves her teacher, Mrs. K! Sending your kids out into the world is not easy! Above is a picture of K's good friend John! He is a sweetheart--he won't be in her class next year :( Below is a picture of a bunch of K's friends and their siblings. There are about 8 kids that we couldn't gather for the picture! Tons of kids and we hit the ice cream store as soon as it opened to celebrate the end of the year! How fun!!!

Trooper

Conner received a clean bill of health from his ENT yesterday! His ear tubes hadn't fallen out and it has been well over a year. When i would look in one ear I could see the tube just sitting there. The doc decided to go in and pull them both out. He said not many 4 year olds cold sit through this. Conner did awesome! You could tell it hurt but he did sooo good. He made me proud! His ears look great and the doc said he has probably outgrown his troubles! YAY!!!

Last day of Kindergarten

What an adventure this last year has been! I now no longer have a Kindergartener! She will be starting First grade in 2 months! Crazy!

She had an awesome teacher! Ms. B helped Kaitlyn learn to read and write much better! Kaitlyn adores her! I just hope next year is as good!

Sliding

So it wasn't as warm as we were hoping for. I think it was 64 degrees when we started the day and then got up to 70 something. Yes, the water was cold. However, there was no waiting so we got a lot of sliding in! The wave pool was a big hit! But they really really liked the hot tub!
Tim did the toliet bowel probably a dozen times. He couldn't get me to do it! I know I'm a chicken but seriously his back was red after each time and he had me go on another couple slides (the kids waited at the bottom--too small to go on several of them). On the other slide it started slow so I was like cool I can do this but then it really sped up and my stomach was in my heart and I couldn't catch my breath and then by the time it was over my suit was up my bum and the top was up pretty high too. I still was having a hard time catching my breath after it was over! I should have done it one more time...knowing what to expect but I called it quits on that one! :0)

She keeps trying!!
We are a kissing family!! We were killing time outside waiting for Tim! I hope I get to kill time like this for a very very long time. I thank God for the time I have had so far!

Echo Lake

After the Flume, we went on another hike! Yep the kids were exhausted but they were troopers! Can you see the ski runs in the background? Conner wants to skip summer and head right to winter and skiing and igloos. Is he crazy? Yes! I told him the cold weather will come back but please lets enjoy the warmth as long as we are given it!!

The Flume-part 2

Covered bridges, I just can't get enough of these! Tim knows how I love them so he has driven all over NH to take me to tons of them. This one was on our hike! Conner came up with this poise! He said take a picture of me upside down! :0)Look at these roots! Isn't it crazy? Look how it is just growing right on top of the rock. God is amazing!
You can see another tree with those roots behind the kids. I think it is just crazy!






The Flume Gorge is gorgeous! If you are ever in NH I suggest you check it out!

The Flume Gorge- part one--ROCKS

Our family can't get enough hiking in..especially if it means we get to climb on rocks and through rocks. The flume was on our list of things to do this summer. I added it! I've been wanting to do it for awhile now and so glad we did. God, our creator, is just so amazing! Being in nature renews that belief!

The kids found their caves here too! Conner was totally bummed because I left the headlights in the hotel! They would have totally come in handy in a couple of the caves!


This is the bear cave. A little slippery but we made it way up to the top where it is completely dark and we weren't sure if there really was a bear living up there!
This is the gorge! What beauty! I am in awe! Pictures do no justice! You must come see this!



This is the Wolves den! This is where the headlights would have come in handy. We all went through the first time despite tons of people turning around and saying they couldn't fit. There was one tiny area to fit through in the dark. The kids of course don't have a hard time but I was the last to go but I figured if Tim could fit I was going to. I kinda got stuck at first then i turned around and wedged my body through. They all went again and I took pictures. When they were heading in the den a family was turning back and warned Tim it was dark and probably too scary for the kids. He smiled and told them this is their second time.......then the family felt a little silly I'm sure!
These are only the rock part of our Flume adventure. Stay tuned for the next set of pics. I only have 85 to choose from! :0)

starting off right

We decided to get away for the weekend! We deserve it right! We needed to start crossing things off of our summer to do list. K's last day of Kindergarten is today and she goes back August 30th so we don't have much time to squeeze it all in!

Do you notice Conner isn't wearing a bubble/floatie thing anymore? It is officially he is a swimmer! A pretty good one at that. He took off the bubble a year before K did! The place we stayed had a heated pool ( and an indoor one but we chose to be out). it was 60 something degrees the first day we got there but being in New England you got to take what you are given! We are sooo proud of this little guy! It is so fun to watch him swim!
Kaitlyn loved the park because of the monkey bars! She has been trying to get them down!

The kids thought it was so cool because there were over a dozen ducks on this little pond that we(meaning Tim and I) could feed out of our hands. The kids just threw the food into the pond and watched the fish jump for it!

Ms. B

Some of the moms got together and surprised Ms. B with an end of year treat from Tiffany's. We really surprised her! She was a little stunned. It was cute! She has been such a blessing as a teacher. She is so good with the kids and they all love her. AHHHH Kindergarten! I only wish and pray next year is as nice! Kaitlyn was truly blessed with some great kids and I was blessed with some great moms! It has been a very fun year!

Thursday

It was raining thursday night! I think the kids were going a little stir crazy! They played in the rain for awhile but then i thought why don't we get the tent out. Tim and I have had this tent since college! We did some cross country camping in this thing. I remember this huge rain storm in NY once and this little cheap puppy held up and kept us dry. Anyway, the kids loved it. K still had school on Friday but we thought go ahead sleep in it. You should have seen all they put in it! I had to have them clean it out before bedtime. Well they slept good. Tim and i were in the other room watching the Red Sox and you could hear Conner ask Kaitlyn to scratch his back and then his leg. It was funny! They slept like angels!
