FIRST GRADE

I love this little girl! She was such a champ yesterday! This was the easiest drop off in the last 4 years! When asked what her favorite part of the day was, she said, "math!". Have I told you that I love this girl?!!!!

My helpers

We had visitors coming for the week so K thought it would be a good idea to make cookies! They were a hit and o so yummy. I think I am always gonna have her mix the cookies from here on out.

Shelby is here. She is 14 months and the kids can't keep their hands off of her! She is all smiles and seriously the kids give her any space! They love babies and they LOVE Shelby!

My new friend...

Hurricane Irene

My beautiful sunflowers are destroyed! At least we got some time with them before their departure. They were beautiful while they lasted! The winds were pretty bad and before the hurricane or shall I say tropical storm rolled through, we got TONS of rain, thunder and lightening. The lightening was hitting on our street!Our electricity went out for about 16hrs or so. The winds were still pretty strong so we took the kids for a walk (safe walk) around the neighborhood. We ended up at the school playing in the puddles and running down the hill! Good family fun!

Off to the park

Just encase I didn't tucker them out, we stopped by our new favorite park for awhile!We hunted these big guys plus we found lots of BIG tadpoles too!

What a fun day...we forgot our buckets and nets but we still made out well.

Wild Adventure

We got to have N and V come along with us on our wild adventure. We had them all to ourselves! The kids were in heaven! We saw lots of animals! I had the kids take a "quiet" walk. They heard lots of different sounds. We saw the normal chipmonks, squirrels, snakes, huge toads and we were lucky enough for Niko to spot a bald eagle just sitting on a tree branch! I wasn't quick enough with the camera! bummer!

Strike a poise! I love this hike along the river! We found the "secret passageway" too! It was a beautiful day. V was sure we had gone 5 miles! They made it! Love that walk!

Our babysitter

Remember Rachel "the babysitter? She has been helping us out for over 4 years now! Crazy huh? She knew Conner when he was only 6 months old. We love R! She comes at 4 am sometimes and sometimes she will sleep at the house. I think she likes our couch. She will come at 6 am and stay just til I get home at 730am. Now that I've been working nights, we don't see her as much as we use to! We see her more at the neighbor's house now! We love our Rachel! She is like another one of our kids! :0) Isn't she pretty too?

Beads

Kaitlyn has been making bracelets for friends this past week. We made one for the babysitter, Rachel, but as soon as she held it all the beads fell off! K just smiled and said that's okay!

Bamboo chutes over the years

We love this ride! This first picture is from 2008. Conner was about 16 or 17 months here and Kaitlyn was 3! Love the facial expressions. I so wish i didn't have to crop Timmy out! We both look like we are loving it and the kids have the best expressions!Here we are last year 2010! K just turned 5 and C was 3!
And here we are this year! This was our second attempt at a good picture! We told the kids they HAD to smile at the camera. You can see the forced smile but still the look in their eyes is priceless! Can't wait for next year!

Day Trip with T and T

This is one of our last hoorah hoorahs before school starts next week. T and T took us into Boston with them to go explore the aquarium! They have a family pass so we got in for really cheap! Aquariums are expensive! They have done some work on the aquarium since we were there two years ago. They have this new exhibit. It is the rays and shark tank. We get to touch sting rays and sharks. Very cool! Conner wasn't so brave but K touched her share! It really is cool!





Conner did find the courage to touch starfish and some crabs! He is a real character!

Last day of our mini vacation

This is the only pic, and its a 35mm pic, we did take some on our cell phones I just need to figure out how I'm going to down load them on to the computer. I don't have the right connection. Anyway, we spent our day at Storyland! This is our third time here. It was FUN! We road the log ride again and bought the picture. It is classic. I'll scan it on to here eventually! This trip was pure family fun! We did spend some time on the lake swimming out to the dock and jumping off! Fun times! Can't wait for another mini vacation!!!
