sideways....sorry

Yes i know it is sideways but I can't fix it and i don't know why but i thought i would cheer you up with a little video this evening. I took this yesterday after baths so the kids are in pj's but K decided to put on a Pooh costume over hers so she has a little honey pot belly which is the latest rage here lately. You can't really see the motions very well but i love when K says "You make me move Jesus" and she does a little twist down to the floor.....I don't know I just love that!

Here today gone tomorrow....

but never fear it will be back this weekend! The white stuff that is. We had a warm up. The storm that hit Cali made its way to us. We had tons of snow but the rain made it basically disappear. Today we were able to go play on our grass. Oh how nice it was to play outside without a million layers on. It was nice to have a little break although i am looking forward to the snow for the next month or two! This is a picture of Kaitlyn enjoying her hand me down umbrella from Isaac yesterday as the snow was melting and then the kids outsde playing today with the snow all but gone!

Night skiing

I am not sure if i mentioned this before but our little town has a family oriented ski resort. It is perfect for family and it is so close that it makes it so easy. Takes about 5-8 minutes to get there. And a added plus is that our babysitter now works there so she gets us some free lift tickets. It is all about who you know. HA! Kaitlyn is getting much more confident on her skis. She goes down the little bunny hill on her own now. Last week she went on her first chair lift and was so excited about it. Conner and I had to go this time to take pictures and video of this big event. Conner was very upset that he couldn't go skiing. It didn't last long because then he found a tree and a little slope to jump down. This is a perfect Saturday evening family outing!

Growing up

Kaitlyn loves to help out in the kitchen. Lately, she runs and gets her apron on and pulls up a chair and then asks what she can do to help me. it is fun to have a partner in the kitchen!

Conner is at that stage where he likes to put on everyone's shoes. He cracks me up!

sweetest thing ever

Well, I think it is the sweetest thing. When my hair falls into my face, Conner comes up to me and gently sweeps it out of my eyes as he says, "Mommy, your hair is messy. I will fix it!" (In his beautiful little voice). I find myself making my hair "messy" on purpose. I wonder how long this little guy will be so sweet!

Excited

I am so excited! Jeremy and Brenda are expecting a little girl in May!! So I am going to be an auntie to two little baby girls this year! I can't wait! I just hope they all come and visit us. I want to babysit!!

Some of my nieces and nephews

I finally was able to go spend a couple days with my mom!! I was only there for four days. It was quick. I didn't see anyone other than family. That was the entire reason for the trip was to spend time with my mom. Sorry I wasn't able to see all of you out there. I went alone. First time without the kids. We had gone to Vegas before when K was like one but I have never left C before so as you can imagine the trip was emotional for me. At least the kids were in good hands with Tim!
I was able to spend some time with Isaac, Kira and Daniel. I love these kids!

The Knight

Do you remember that manger scene Kaitlyn had at school. The one her teacher and her teacher's father made for the class? Well they turned it into a castle. This is the lastest craft Kaitlyn came home with. The shield of Faith....that is awesome!

Is HE the next American Idol?

So I worked all night and then had to get to a Doc apt right after work. Thank God Tim got the kids dressed for me and fed them! He is such a great dad! Anyways, before naps I let the kids watch part of American Idol that I had DVR'd last night. They loved it. I of coursed skipped several of the conversations and we would just decide who was good and who wasn't. Well, after the show was over, Conner put on his own show! We might be headed to Hollywood in the next couple of years! WHOOHOO!

Happy Campers

Conner and Kaitlyn were watching Pooh and Tiger. Kaitlyn snuzzled up next to Conner and wrapped her arm around him and they were holding hands...irresistible! They weren't too excited about me pulling out the camera. Look at the second picture...can you see how they were happy to see the flash? Torture!!

Funny

I was on the computer this am checking my email. Kaitlyn comes over to me walking backwards from the bathroom with her pants around her ankles and her little tush sticking out at me. She says" Is is clean mommy? Did i do a good job?"

Happy Birthday Chloe and Cameron!

These two turned 4 this past week. Amazing! It is so fun to see other kids grow up but it reminds me that mine are getting older as well.
Conner was flying up the stairs to get to the next slide. I asked him for a pic when he came down and he kept striking all these silly poises he has seen Kaitlyn do. It was quite amusing! I have to remind myself that he is still only two! He is still my baby! People often think he is older because of his height. He sure did keep up with the older kids at the party!

We had her all to ourselves

We had one hour with Samantha. She is a little lady now....well at least a toddler and no longer a baby. Oh how i love little ones. I tortured her after she got here and put her hair in pigtails to see how cute she would look. Isn't she adorable? She gives the cutest kisses. Kaitlyn was mother hen and followed her all over trying to take care of her. Conner does the same and then he just goes about playing and not paying any attention to the girls. We had a nice little visit. We need to do it more often! L

T and T time

We were lucky and were able to get together with Thora and Tristan again. We went to an indoor play area. Little Tristan isn't so little any more. He is a cutie...i just want to take him home with us! The kids fight over him. We spent 2 1/2 hours there and they didn't want to leave. We had a good long nap after that. I am really blessed that K is still taking naps.

Kaitlyn came home from school today belting out a new song. She has Chapel on Wednesdays. She loves chapel. They do a really great job at her school. This is her latest song. She is singing about God and how He is so much greater than anything we can imagine. This is an awesome little reminder of how AWESOME our God is!

More Fun

Samantha, Nick and Vanessa came over to play last night. Too bad we didn't have too long to play. The kids enjoy each other and I enjoy the moms. We have fun together.

Chloe and Cameron

We miss our friends in the winter. We don't see our neighbors as much in the cold weather. When it is summer we are always outside. In the winter, we have to go over to each others houses and it just hasn't happened that much this winter so far. We have all just been busy and on different schedules. C and C made it over today. They even came bearing gifts of handy me downs for Conner. He is so excited about some of the new PJs he got. Conner is taking a real liking to Chloe. Don't they look cute together? We had a fun evening playing together! Thanks for coming over guys!

"School"

Conner LOVES "School"!! He calls it school but it is really a play group he goes to once a week. The parents all sit together and talk in another room in the building and the kids play, sing songs, read books, and have snack together. He loves it. I think he is ready for preschool and he isn't even three yet. He loves the interaction and he just thrives! He loves Mondays. When he turns three he "graduates" out of the group so I am not sure what we will do then. He will definitely miss it!

Okay, please cut me some slack. This picture is taken after a long night of work. It was hard work with 3 of my 5 patients as they were circling the drain. I barely had time to think let alone go to the bathroom. I survived. I had some swelling of the side of my face prior to going into work but i stuck it out even though I was in a ton of pain. Throughout the night the swelling got worse. This picture doesn't even show how bad the swelling is but i looked like the kid from that movie with Cher called Mask. Do you guys remember that? Well, seriously it was that bad. Somehow i still went out to dinner with the family looking like this. They started me on an antibiotic saying it was an infected Parotid gland. Let me tell you it is soooo painful. The swelling has gone down considerably but the pain is still severe. It hurts and i need my mommy!

Thank You Rachel!

We are so blessed to have Rachel in our lives! She isn't only our babysitter she is a friend....like a little sisiter! She is fun to pick on and tease. She is just kinda silly! We took the kids with us to a party last night and then brought them home a little before 10pm. Rachel came over to babysit and we went back to the party to ring in the New Year! The kids could have made it the whole night but Tim and I wanted a little time to ourselves and I don't think today would have been as much fun if they stayed up all night! We rang in the New Year perfectly! Thanks Rachel!

Our cards

I really enjoy pictures and cards. I love going to the mailbox and getting something other than bills. We have been posting our cards on the door down to the garage since we moved here. It is fun looking at all the families we have known over the years in all our travels that we haven't seen in forever. I don't think I am ready to take them down yet. Maybe one more month!

Balaclava

The kids love their new balaclavas. It keeps them nice a toasty when we are playing outside. Kaitlyn has taken a real liking to it and wears it in the house all the time. Tim took them out sledding yesterday and they both looked like Ninjas as they had only their eyes showing. Well worth the money we spent on them!
