Happy/Sad

Yippeeeeee! I have a new camera! On the cheaper side but it will due! I went picture crazy this afternoon. Conner is looking so grown up. Now that he has been on his new antibiotic for the past three day, he is feeling much better. I know i don't post many pictures of an unhappy Conner but here is a pretty good one. Enjoy!

No Pictures!!

So I almost cried....my heart broke in two!! Tim, Kaitlyn and I were outside playing baseball this weekend ( Tim was home for 1 1/2 days). Well I had the bat in my hand doing something and Tim threw the ball so i thought i should hit it. However, I had my camera on and in my hand and somehow it got loose and flew about 6 ft in the air hitting the pavement!! I was so upset!! It was totally broken!! So thus the title. No pictures for a little bit. I can't believe it. It was such a good camera. We have had it since our honeymoon. Oh Well!!
Also an update on the kids! K is totally better!! Conner is still sick! I took him back to the doc since he has been on the abx for a week and still not better. So we did a chest xray!! Can you believe it. Have you guys ever seen how they do the xray on an 11 month old. They put him in this contraption that looks like a torture tool. It was crazy! The tech wasn't that nice and my camera was broken otherwise i would have stopped everything for a picture. Poor baby! They are saying it is bronchiolitis and possibly the start of pneumonia. I bet he picked it up at the nursery at the Y. Who knows but yet another antibiotic. I really can't believe how fun he is even when he is sick. oh they also said his ears were ok but one looked like it had pressure build up like when you are on a flight and need your ears to pop. Can you imagine the feeling for a baby??

Dino

We went to story time at the library today! It was fun! Kaitlyn has definitely matured since the last time we went to a story time. They read us a story about dinosaurs. We played in playdough (K's favorite thing to do) with little dinosaur figurines. We also made these really cute dinosaurs. It is a cute craft for those of you looking for something. You just take contact paper and cut it out in any shape you want. Then you just use teared upd pieces of construction paper and it sticks to the contact paper after you removed the backing. Oh K's favorite was adding the eyeballs. Then WHAA LAAA!

SunShine!!

Yesterday was beautiful!! It had been cloudy for awhile but not yesterday! It was in the 40's but the sky was bright! We decided to venture to the park. Of course no one was there but us. There was still ice scattered all over. I slipped twice. IF you look close the lake behind the swing set is iced over. Last year we saw people out ice fishing. I haven't seen anyone doing that this year...yet. Our winter is far from over! Here in Mass. the kids are out of school. They have a winter break here. I wish we had that in Cali. I guess one of the reasons they have it is to clean the school of all the germs. They definitely need it this year. About 1/3 of classrooms are out sick. My kids really are no different. You know all that snot i told you about before. I have been swimming it. Well its been at least a month of it. I decided to take them in yesterday before the park adventure and get their ears checked. I am so anal about ear infections. I even have an otoscope at the house. Well both babies have one ear each that has fluid behind the ear drum. They are now both on antibiotics. They claim it is sinus infections but I really just don't think Conner has ever gotten over his first ear infection back in November. But who am i? Obviously not a doctor however I am a mother and i really think this is the case. I am sure we will be seeing an ENT soon. You really would never know either of them are sick. They are just too happy!!

Dress up for everyone!

Poor Conner! If Tim was here I am sure he would have protected Conner from the dress up game. We had fun! Conner even enjoyed himself until he tried crawling in his skirt. Kaitlyn took the pic of me. She had fun taking pictures.

Pizza Night

Friday night was pizza night! Conner enjoyed his first real piece of pizza! Kaitlyn loves to kick back and enjoy hers as well!
Dominos might not be the best pizza but it sure is fast. It is cool because when you order online you can watch exactly where your pizza is at all times. HAHA! It is kinda funny! They sure are quick!

I am SO proud!!

Okay, since Tim is gone I decided that now would be a good time to try potty training. I worked tues evening and I don't work again until next tues evening. I was prepared! What I didn't realize was that Kaitlyn was prepared as well!! I am simply amazed. I guess when people say wait til they are ready we should listen!! I had tried last summer after K turned 2 but that was a big mess. Our first day was wed. She was awesome! The first attempt when she woke up was a sucess! She wet herself 3 times but was successful a little bit more than 50% of the time. Yesterday was the second day and she did it! She used the potty every time. Even #2! She did it!! I was shocked! We even went to gymnastics and the store and there were no accidents! Today has been the same! I can't believe it could be this easy! She is 2 1/2 and after she pooped on the potty I was like my little girl is all grown up! So I am hoping this will continue! If not is has been awesome! She is so proud of herself! She gets a reward and a sticker after each sucessful time! So lets just say she has an obsession with that pot now! She doesn't want to use the little potty or the potty seat so all of that was a waste. She just likes to climb up using the step stool and be a big girl! Oh can you tell how proud I am!!

fun and laughter

Conner loves to laugh. His whole face smiles. His nose gets all squeshy and eyes get squinty and he lights up and laughs. Kaitlyn can make him laugh at the littlest things. He just belly laughs. I love it! We just sit on the floor and laugh all morning.

Valentine's Day

Kaitlyn had her first little V Day party at gymnastics class. She has learned all the kids names and today she even grabbed another little girls hand and sat next to her. Another little boy was trying to teach her to jump and then fall on her rear. She collected little cards from the other kids. It was very sweet. Conner did much better in nursery...so they said. They still had to hold him the entire time we were gone but he only cried for a couple seconds after we left! Small steps!
At home this afternoon, I was cleaning up and I heard Kaitlyn talking to Conner so i went in to see what they would be doing and there they sat just looking out the sliding glass door together. Touches my heart.
Oh one more first happened today. We had a couple friends over to play for a little bit and the little boy hit Kaitlyn in the face...so hard it left a red mark. She looked so shocked and just came and found me and told me what had happened. Poor baby!! It won't be long before daddy is home teaching her more self defense moves!

Snot

The previous post kinda looks like this one. The previous one was twinkie juice on her upper lip. This is definitely not. It's snot! I am not sure if it will show up real well so if you can't see it then double click to make it bigger. I have dealt with SO much snot the past week,,,it is amazing. Anyhooo...we were eating dinner tonight and Kaitlyn starts shouting I have a bubble mom. So I asked her to hold still until I could get my camera. She is so obedient it is funny. So I got this picture for Tim. Enjoy!!

Twinkies

So Tim is gone for a month. We are on our own. The neighbors have already been great to us. But when daddy is away, mommy gets more junk. Kaitlyn had her first twinkie today. What a milestone! I will definitely be putting this in the scrapbook. She loved it as you can tell from this picture. She even put her pointer finger in the little holes on the bottom side. I am so proud of her. HAHAHA!

And it continues...

Tonight Conner was being quiet again. I hunted him down and I guess he has figured out the stairs now. We have a gate at the top but not one at the bottom. We never had to worry with Kaitlyn. We still don't. She always asks first before trying to go up the stairs. Conner is another story. He doesn't ask first!

pockets

Kaitlyn and Conner both have junky noses right now. I think every kid in New England does! For all you Californians who are enjoying 70 degree weather, we had below zero wind chills today and i think we hit 19 degrees. OH I am so looking forward to spring and summer and Fall. Anyway back to the runny noses. Kaitlyn always goes and gets tissue to blow her nose. I haven't seen so much snot from a kid. She was putting the tissue in my pocket and in her jacket pockets but i guess she couldn't find her pockets in her jeans.....well she thought she found her pocket but look where it landed. So funny. I kept telling her that wasn't her pocket but she was adamant that it was so i said "okay whatever" and guess what K said for the next 30 minutes. I really have to watch what I say!

I haven't added any pictures in a couple days, So I thought I would post a new pic. Here they are hamming it up. I was trying to get a picture for a card we were making for a friend's baby that was just born. So this is one of many pictures I took. My kids are going to hate cameras!

LOVE

Our craft this week is making Valentines. Kaitlyn is loving it. She loves to use stickers and markers....oh and the newest thing is using scissors! Probably too young yes I know but she loves doing it. No blood yet!
I know I have told some of you but I keep getting the same comment. Sunday at church we received another funny comment!
Tim and I each had one of the kids in our arms and a lady stops us and asks if they are twins. I think this is the 5 or 6th time I have heard this. I think it is funny. I don't see it. I mean i know C is big for his age and K is a little small but really ....twins...come on! I thought it was funny. What do you guys think???

The Climber

This is how i find Conner whenever I don't hear him or see him. He is always sneaking into something!! He likes to climb up on everything now. This house is so much bigger than our condo on the beach so there is more places for me to loose Conner. Kaitlyn was pretty contained in the condo. I have to hunt for this little guy. Makes life interesting!

11 MONTHS Already!!

Look who is 11 months! Can you believe?? Well I am having a hard time believing it! He is a tall boy! And as I have said before....He is SO much fun! If any of you have a Mac then we could ichat. Let me know. K & C's aunt and uncle have ichat and they get to enjoy the kids on a weekly basis. Anytime I open the computer K is asking if Mark or Rachel are on it.
Anyway, Conner has been such a awesome addition to our family. I don't know what K would do all day if he wasn't with us. She tries to mother him which I am sure won't last long once C can talk for himself. But as I am sure I have said before, she doesn't want him to be empty handed. Anytime we are on our way out the door, she runs into the playroom and grabs him a toy to take with us. I hope and pray they stay this close forever! Alright, enough rambling for now but can you believe Conner is already 11 months???? Crazy!!
