Looks who is growing up

Kaitlyn is a big girl!! It is so much fun but so sad to see her growing up. She is constantly making us laugh. Our neighbor has "click clicks" (the little dress up heels that make the click click sound on the hard wood floor). So we had to go shopping to get some click clicks! We had a fun time doing it. I love toys! Well this is Kaitlyn all dressed up. Tonight her and the neighbor kids were all outside in their click clicks walking all around,,,throwing a ball, mowing the lawn, riding bikes....all in their click clicks.. So funny!!

Mom and Son

While Kaitlyn was napping, I got to spend some special time with Conner. He is now rolling back and forth. It is very cute! I finally caught him in action today. He also has his first tooth. He is only 4 months! His second tooth is not far behind!

Tea for two

Kaitlyn and her friend went swimming together today and then Kaitlyn invited her over for tea and pastries. They had a great time playing together.

CUP

So i had been holding off on trying to have K drink out of a regular cup---fear of messes i guess. Yesterday was the big day and she did just fine. So now with all her meals she has a big girl cup. She was so proud of herself ...we were too!!

PJs

Kaitlyn got some new Dora PJs. She was modeling them for us tonight! She decided to do some poses as soon as i started taking pictures. Now i don't even need to ask her to smile and she breaks out with these crazy poses.

Say Cheese!!

So we posed for some pics! I know some of you wanted to see my new do! I have some more blond hair and its about 4 inches shorter. This is the only pic i am going to send. I like getting a fresh cut. Kaitlyn and Conner came with me to the salon. They both sat there for 2 1/2 to 3 hrs just watching mommy. Kaitlyn sat in the salon chair next to me reading and watching them do crazy things to my hair. Conner sat in his carrier for about 20 minutes and then it was over. He had to be held. The salon owner took him for 15 minutes and then he sat with me the rest of the time. Just content as can be as long as i held him. So it didn't turn out the be a nightmare after all.

Taking a dip

Kaitlyn is showing a little interest in the potty. She likes for her dolly to go swimming in it! Sometimes i start looking around to find out where K is and i find her laying on a pillow on the floor with her diaper, wipes, and ointment laying next to her waiting for me to notice. She is getting really good at that so i think soon she will be ready to start the training. The real question is am I ready for it??!!

Mischief

Kaitlyn can't find the toy she is looking for. She is a determined child! :)
I asked Kaitlyn to take off her shoes and then i went back to looking at a magazine, when i turned around there she was letting Conner eat her toes!

Belly Surfing

Conner as you can see is full of smiles! He kicks his legs and arms so much. The last time we went to the doc, she was noticing it and said it is kinda funny looking because he is still a little ridgid like a four month old but he is moving about like a 6 + month old and it just looks funny on a four month old. It is kinda humerous! I wish you all could come see him in person.

Tug of War

Conner had such a firm grip of Kaitlyn's dress that she had a really hard time getting it back! She was impressed with Conner's strength! We all are! He can get a good tug of my hair and ouch! I never worried about that with Kaitlyn cuz she could careless about my hair but Conner is another story! I am so excited about getting it cut on thurs. Its been since november!! Look how long Conner looks! Tim thinks by the time he is one he will over take kaitlyn in height and weight! Should be interesting to see! It is laundry day so the kids like the big bare bed!

Playing

We are so blessed to have great neighbors. Vanessa and Nick live next door. They are almost three and 15 months so Kaitlyn is right in the middle. They have a blast swimming and playing together. We also have 18 month old twins that live behind us. They just got a climbing/swing set thing that all the kids love to play on. Summer has been so much fun with all the kids out and about. Last night everyone ( there are four new houses on the corner...ours is one of them and we are all about the same age including kids) was out playing and talking for over four hours. Kaitlyn got to stay up well past her bed time!!

Conner is such a joy. He can just make anyone smile!! Right now while i am typing, Kaitlyn is napping and I put Conner in his bumbo chair to watch baby Einstein for the first time. He is enjoying it and just as content as can be! Kaitlyn is really a ham. She can turn on and off that camera smile so quickly. She makes me laugh so much. Did everyone know that you are still suppose to be doing tummy time with 2 year olds? i think we stopped once she started walking. Well, a therapist is coming to our house just to help her a little with her expressive language. Its free here in MA so i thought what the heck it will at least give her more people to interact with. We had our first session today and it was great but i never knew you were suppose to still do tummy time. It will continue to help her strength and all that jazz. Who knew?

First bites

Before Tim left for work, we decided to attempt our first bites. We will probably be holding off for awhile but Conner is now four months and the doc said to go ahead and try some cereal. I think Kaitlyn was about 6 months when she took off with the whole eating thing. Conner took his shots like a champ the other day. He now weighs in at 17 lbs and 26 1/2 inches long. He is btw the 75th and 95th percentile. I looked back and Kaitlyn didn't weigh this until she was 6 1/2 months old.

Swimmin time

After Kaitlyn's nap yesterday, we decided to go swimming. She is really getting brave. She lets her "eyeballs" go swimming. She dove in twice and she climbs her slide and loves plopping into the water. Conner sat there for about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs in his bumbo chair just taking it all in.

Winnekinne Park

We had a great morning. Conner wasn't too keen on the swing. If you double click ( mom do this so you can actually see the pictures without the magnifying glass) on the pic with both kids on the swing, you will see that Kaitlyn was having a good time and Conner was screaming bloody murder.

Conner made a new friend. This kid stayed with us the entire two hours we were there. He was taken by Conner who was just smiling and laughing at him. Then the little boy and Kaitlyn played chase forever. I really enjoyed myself today and i know both the kids did too because they are just exhausted and hopefully will sleep for quite some time.

Jello

Centerpiece

We discovered Conner makes a great centerpiece. He was our entertainment throughout the meal. I think this will be his new place at the dinner table!

Johnny Jump Up

We tried the jumper out today. No jumping of course....well except for what Kaitlyn made Conner do whether he wanted to or not. It is funny how when Kaitlyn was a baby she really wasn't into any of the toys...she was but not like most kids. Now Kaitlyn loves exploring all of Conner's toys. She is constantly bringing Conner toys. She never wants him to be without.

We love our new door. The blue matches the shutters. It looks even better when the sun is shinning!

Strawberry pickin'!!!!We visited a family farm today. They had lots of fun structures and things for Kaitlyn to do. Conner could care less and decided to take the opportunity to grab a little nap in the sun. Kaitlyn was able to find soooo many yummy strawberries. We have enough for at least a week. We better start eating them now.
I don't think I will be able to carry Conner in the front pack much longer. As you can see, I look like i am in pain. My back was killing me by the end of the strawberry pickin. Before he fell asleep, Conner was able to pick a couple strawberries as well. Everytime i bent over to grab some Conner came up with some as well.

Breakfast in bed

Kaitlyn and Conner did so well at the hotel last night. We had to stay overnight because the floor guys and painters invaded our house. I thank God that i have two great sleepers. They slept all night even though they were out of their element. Kaitlyn had her own room and her own queen size bed. She slept in the middle and didn't budge. This morning i let her have breakfast in bed and she loved it. Better not get her use to it though!

Conner's first time in a big pool went over pretty well. He loves to kick in the bathtub so i knew he would love this and he did! Can you tell?

Happy

Conner is such a smiler! I can't even look at him while he is taking his bottle because he breaks out in giggles and laughs everytime we make eye contact! He is such a joy!

Boston Children's Museum

It took Kaitlyn a little while to warm up to all the people and all the noise. We were wondering if we wasted money and time to get there. Finally, Kaitlyn started having a good time. She didn't want to leave any of the different rooms.
