Lunch with daddy

We drove down to the Common to meet daddy for a picnic. It was beautiful out! The frog pond was calling our names and in we went! The kids loved it!!

This is only my 3rd quilt. I really like the colors and how it turned out! Someone very special will be getting this soon! I hope he likes it!!

TERROR in the eyes

So amazingly enough this is Kaitlyn's second favorite ride. The first was the roller coaster. Two years ago we forced them on the ride and we actually bought the expensive pic they take just because the look on all of our faces was CLASSIC! Tim and I look like we are having the bestest time and the kids look terrified! ( i cropped Tim out to keep his identity on the downlow)
Nothing changes two years later!! Funny to think K wanted to keep going on this one over and over. Look at their faces!! Hilarious!

At the Car Wash

I LOVE when kids come over to help wash the car! They are the bestest! Don't you love when you clean out your car and take the booster seats out and find lots of good treats under there. Next time I will have to get a pic of that! Really disgusting! We had this tub filled up to use to fill up our water guns. The kids found another way to use it as well!

Storyland

This was one of K's favorite ride. The roller coaster. We went to storyland after 2 on the first evening, which gets us into the park all day the next day. The second day started with rain. It rained for about the first three hours of our second day. That was fine with us. It actually made it more of an adventure. After the rain, it heated right up and turned into the perfect day we were hoping for! It was absolutely a great great day! The first day we were here, we only had 3 hrs to check things out. We went on the coaster once. The second day we went on it 5 times. 4 in a row once!! She loved it and her second favorite ride was the log ride! We have a picture from that ride two years ago that we bought as we came down the "mountain" (as C likes to call it). So we had to buy it again this year. The fear on the kids faces is really funny. Comparing the pics from two years ago is classic. I will crop Tim out and post it soon!.





K and C loved milking the cow and climbing the windmill! The second day we were there from open to close. The kids were on there best behavior and made this trip tons of fun! The were so excited for everything. We let them play in the fountains and water park and they were entirely soaked..it the morning from the rain and the rest of the day from just having fun! This was an excellent weekend!! Now back to the real world!

On a hunt.....

for as many covered bridges that we can find! There is just something about covered bridges. I really dig them! Did you know that they are not quite sure why they made cover bridges? There are several thoughts on the matter but no one is for sure. Interesting, things that make you go huh!


Conner gets a little sick of all my pictures but for the most part he humors me! Creek walking and river walking is so much fun! We were also hunting for waterfalls and we saw plenty of them as well. Just a great outing!

Covered bridge dance

So this weekend, the town we were staying in had a covered bridge dance. It was pretty cool and it got a lot more happening than this video. Conner loves and I mean LOVES to dance! Here is a little clip. I wish I got a video when K and C were dancing togther! Very cute!

Totally AWESOME!!!

So we went on the longest slide down a mountain in North America! It was awesome! It is at a ski resort in New Hampshire. WE to the ski lift up to the top of the mountain and rode these little carts down the mountain.The kids sat in front of us and we used this lever to speed up or slow down. On the last ride down, Tim and Conner came very very close to jumping off the track, they were totally out of control. And for Tim to say that.......it shook him up a bit! There was a black bear spotted as we came down one of the rides! Y
The kids absolutely loved it! WE went down about 10 times and they just wanted more......This was mine and Tim's FAVORITE ride of the weekend! They are building a mountain coaster that should be done by the end of summer that I can't wait to go on!

This track is a bit longer than a mile long! It was fast and at times scary and just a blast!
So Tim and I have been wanting to go to a rock wall gym but haven't made it there yet. Tim didn't think i would do it but I had two little ones watching so I had to! I need to work a little on my skills but i tried the medium level and didn't do too bad.

This is how it started......

Isn't this place gorgeous? This is the yard of the Inn we stayed in. The first night wasn't that great......Kaitlyn had a melt down. We had the last room in the Inn. It was a King bed and small couch and a roll away. K had the roll away and C had the small couch. We had brought their sleeping bags (they love those things). Conner rolled off the couch three times and K screamed all upset about sleeping a couple feet from us. So lets just say we were ready to go by the morning. The next night we asked to change rooms since there weren't as many people there that night and we got two double beds on the first floor with a deck that lead out to this beautiful setting. It was perfect minus the one nightmare K had and her grinding her teeth! They were able to run down to the river and play all over this place while Tim and I enjoyed a bottle of wine!

another first

We had been wanting to go to a minor league game since we moved here but just never got around to it! We made it. It was part of Tim's dad's day gift. We have tickets to another game in August. Check out the ballpark. So New England with those smoke stacks in the background. This was all about the kids. There are so many kids there and they really get them involved in the cheering and action between innings and in the middle of innings. They have a kids activity area. It was a blast. The kids LOVED it! We didn't get home til 1030pm! That is late for our little guys. Just a fun family activity. Definitely check out your minor league team near you! It is a must!

Pool day

The kids and I spent the day at the pool! It was such a great day! HOT out, pool water cold, not crowded, good lunch, and fun times! Conner enjoys sunbathing. He really wanted to read my magazine so this occupied him for half and hour!

What a night

We had been planning to go to this sand castle competition since we moved here and every year we have missed it.....until this year. YEAH. After spending the day on the beach we went home to rest. Tim got home and we went to the pool and then went back to the beach. It was a perfect summer night. The sky was perfect for pics...i got several great ones of Tim and Conner together.

Of course if we were at the beach, they had to enjoy it...even though they weren't really dressed for it! Conner was soaked! He loves the waves!

Ice cream is a must with our kids! They deserved it tonight......we had such a fun day!

a beautiful beach day

I didn't realize it was 91 degrees today. The kids and I spent the day on the beach. Perfect day for it. There is always a breeze on our beach. The kids are awesome at the beach. We could spend the entire day from sun up to sun down if I would let them. Conner is a crazy man on the sand. He purposely falls down on the sand and literally just goes crazy! It really is hilarious to watch.

Colors

WE love paint at this house. I hadn't brought out the paint in quite some time! We had a fun afternoon creating!
