We took our friends out to dinner as a thank you for all the times they have let us stay at their "camp". The kids love hanging out with their youngest, H! Thank you guys!

Last day alone with my sidekick

 Today was the last day that Conner and I would have alone for a while. He has been my little buddy. He is my helper, encourager, cleaner and shopper. He is my little wild but very tame guy! I thought we would do another fun outing before he starts school full time! We decided to go on a bike adventure. We hit up the Windham rail trail and found many cool sights! Love all the lilly pads

 We waited here a while looking for animals and to our delight we found one.....

 a big green guy who wouldn't move for the life of him. We tossed rocks...not at him but near him and he would jump! We wanted to see how high he would leap

 Conner leaped instead. We rode for 6 miles! We were both tuckered from the days events but on the way back we stopped to see if our frog was still there......he kinds was.....

 We found a snake in his place and according to Conner the snake's belly was awful full! I would tend to agree.

 We took this picture for Grandma....we think it is a great blue heron. There were several here and beautiful!

This is how I found them this morning

2nd day of 2nd grade

 So the second day was sun shiny and beautiful but these were the only 2 pictures I took! I am slacking!

First day of 2nd grade

 I was bummed it was raining that morning. I had planned on getting tons of pics of Kaitlyn and her friends! It didn't work out how I had planned but that is okay we always have tomorrow!

 It was beautiful a couple hours after school started. The poor kids must have been miserable because the school isn't air conditioned and it was 85 degrees. UGH I wouldn't be able to handle it if I was a teacher! I would be a crab! Here is K and her friend L who are in the same class this year!

Open House

 We had open house on Monday! The kids are excited to start school! Kaitlyn started on tues and loves her teacher. Conner keeps getting his backpack ready thinking he is going to. He doesn't start until next week but he is SOOOO ready. Not sure I am but so proud of him!

 kaitlyn is looking forward to 2nd grade as well. 2nd grade......how did that happen? Here is to a great year!

 The cabin has many memories and adventures attached to it. Tim loves to travel different roads and explore and I am so glad he does because I usually just go from point A to point B...fearful I will get lost. Tim tries to get lost and find his way out. He is an awesome navigator. Wish I had his skills! Anyway, the lake the cabin is on has a dirt road that you can take to get around the other side of the lake. We have driven it before but we went that way this time as we were leaving! Here are some interesting signs!

 Another treat as we left was seeing a herd of these......Ox I think....i don't know my animals too well.

 So we have kyaked down the river but never tubed on this river. We packed a lunch a couple beers and water and took off. About 50% of the river you can walk through but not the other half and about 5 minutes into the trip I got caught on a huge tree and flipped. Only me.... well K got stuck and had to have someone behind us help her! Rough start but then we were all relaxing like C dog!

 k had a chance to do her rope swing a million times. We were there for at least an hour! She is becoming a pro!

Back to camp

 We have some awesome friends that let us use their camp basically anytime we want (except friday nights! ha!) Their cabin is right across the street from this lake (2nd cleanest lake in NH). It is so beautiful here. We love swimming at sunset! Isn't the view amazing!? The mountains are gorgeous!

 Another milestone happened at the cabin! yep! Conner lost his first tooth....with the help of me of course. His new tooth has been growing in and this tooth needed to come out. I have him tons of time on his own and I really was just planning on wiggling it before bedtime but ........opps....the tooth came out! ;0)

 He was a happy and proud kid!

Up high

 This is a different rope course than the one we did last year. This was a bit more fun because they made it in the trees! There was hesitation again this year by three of us. We were going to go with the kids on their course and then switch out our gear and go on the big courses! Not my favorite thing to do but I have to act brave so the kids won't get scared. I was a bit scared on the kids course the first couple times. Conner not so much. He was running across some really high places....running!

 Sooooo...the kids loved it so much that they wanted to keep going for over 2 hrs so I HAD to stay with them while Tim went and did the most challenging course there! Opps I should have added the zip line pics but oh well......it was fast and high!

 All of these obstacles moved and shaked and that added a lot more "excitement"! So Kaitlyn gets made when she gets scared....here is a classic picture of it. After she warmed up she didn't want to stop but this is how it was for a bit!

 Conner on the other hand was at total peace and totally in his element! He loves to climb!

 Last year it might have been higher but this year was pretty cool too! Some were lower than others.
