beach days

Oh how i love the beach. Have i mentioned how the water is warmer on the east than the west? What a absolutely beautiful perfect day! I worked the night before, slept for about 1 1/2 hrs, packed the car and lunch and off we went. How could you sleep the day away when it is so gorgeous outside? This has been an amazing summer!!!

Princesses really??

I saw this on another blog and it gave me pause for thought! I don't think Kaitlyn sees it this way. I think it is all just magical to her but really double click on the pic to make it bigger and wow is this what I am teaching K? It will at least give us something to talk about!

I love this kid!

Sometimes Kaitlyn is more interested in the kids behind her than the pool in front of her! She likes to just hang out on the end of the diving board and it makes me nervous! Today, I took C dog to the bathroom two different times while she continued to go off the diving board! She is getting brave! Today when C and i got back, Kaitlyn announced that she dove in criss cross applesauce!
Yesterday, C and I were sitting on the side of the pool watching K, and some little girls walked in front of us and Conner says to them, " Hey, princess!" I laughed and said to him....."who are you". He can be so silly!

I am in LOVE with gingergold

Maybe Tim has been gone too long (his plane just landed so he will be home soon) but I have found a new love while he has been away! Gingergold!! We took off this am to go pick some peaches and blueberries again but the blueberries won't be back til next year now! Oh well....we picked some more peaches but they were very expensive! We made our way down the hill and found these.....gingergolds!! absolute best! There were about 6 different early season apples we could have picked but we found the best and stopped looking! I bit into one of these and my mouth watered! I was soo excited! The kids had to try it and they were hooked as well! As i sit here typing this, Conner is on his third huge apple of the day! Thank God he is potty trained!
So maybe I have been out of the loop or just not a huge apple connoisseur but this is the first I have tried of this type maybe it is just cuz I don't know names of apples but whatever....I am in LOVE!

last night

I was getting some stuff done in the living room and I could hear Kaitlyn reading to Conner. It was so adorable. I should have video taped it. I rounded the corner with my camera...incognito and got this really grainy picture of the two of them. Conner was hanging on every word that Kaitlyn was saying.....too precious. I am so blessed they have each other!

Another wet one

Well, the rain is done!!! We needed it! So I am not complaining.We have barely had any this summer compared to last. The sun is shinning so bright! It is going to be a beautiful day! I think we need some bad days so that we can really appreciate the good ones! Otherwise, we just take it for granted! That is one thing I have learned from the Northeast! I think I am really starting to LOVE it here. It is just so beautiful....now remind me I said that when it is April and we get a snow storm!
So yesterday we needed something new to keep us occupied in the house. We borrowed a bunch of movies from the neighbors and watched a few. Then we made our fort! We made one for the neighbors that came over in the am and another one for the neighbors that came in the pm. Thanks guys for helping us get through our rainy days!

My Super hero

These are hand me down PJs from Isaac. Isaac wore these 7 years ago! Crazy to think of it. He used to be my little guy. He did everything with me. Now it has been 8 months since I last saw him and I miss him. I absolutely love my little guy. Conner cracks me up daily! I thank God every day for him.

What to do on a rainy day.....

Play in it! Kaitlyn loves dirt and mud and all that good stuff. Samantha was out playing as well. We had one more day of rain and then it is back to summer weather! Can't wait. We need to soak it all in!

After playing outside this afternoon, I finally made Kaitlyn happy by pulling out the paint. Paint can be stressful at times....i just have to remind myself it washes off....plus it was raining so it worked out well! I love Kaitlyn's materpiece(the last pic). I think i might frame this one! Some people do work like this and make a fortune!

Vanessa turns 6!

These kids are growing up right before my eyes! Crazy! Now check out this set up. Vanessa had a fairy party. There was a lady who came and set everything up, played fairy games, had fairy costumes for everyone, painted faces and kept the party moving......a very cool party!

Have you seen the bumper sticker?

"This car climbed Mt. Washington", our car (Sally) earned it! Mt Washington is the highest Mt. in the Northeast and it has the fastest winds every recorded on this earth. Cool huh? HA. Well we made the journey. What amazing views. Unfortunately, by the time I pulled out the camera the clouds were rolling through. We were able to take a little hike through some of the rocks. We plan on going back next year for some hiking and maybe just maybe we will do the entire hike.

Nothing beats the drive in

I encourage you to go to a drive in! Over 60% of drive ins have closed their gates since the 80's. Something like that anyway. We had to drive about an hour to get to this one. The kids had been looking forward to it for a week. We wish we could have gone when Toy Story 3 was playing but we didn't get a chance. We saw Nanny McPhee. The kids are still talking about it. It was a fun night. Next time we will come more prepared. These people take their drive ins very seriously. We saw lawn chairs, grills, coolers,food of every kind, and the coolest was mattresses they had arranged in the back of a pick up. Definitely a fun evening!

Sometimes the kids are in the "mood" to take pictures. Each kid came up with a poise with their teddy bears. Very entertaining. I think we were taking different pics for over an hour! I need a nap now!

Can't get enough

Last night after Tim got home we went to the pool! We love this place. It has been some of the best money we have spent. It has been much better than the place we were at last year. Just a nice place. After we all took showers, we headed a couple yards away to dinner on the deck.
It is so funny to eat at the Country Club. It is even funnier to say it. It was fun to sit and make up stories of the well off people and we were just the summer pool members. Good food hot off the grill on this huge deck over looking the golf coarse. Tim always comes up with fun things for us to do!!! I love that guy!

"Mom, I am a jack knifer!"
she likes doing jack knives off the diving board! Made me laugh!

A day in the Sun

WE had a great afternoon with our friends Thora and Tristan. The weather was absolutely perfect! It was a perfect day! The kids play so nice together which makes it that much easier! Thank God for good friends!
