Candy

Kaitlyn thought she needed to organize her candy when we got home. We take our candy very seriously around here. And here is a picture of the dent we had made in the stash.

Trust

This year we set out a box FULL of candy. We returned to what we expected....an empty box. I wish I would have set up a video camera to see what kids were honest and who weren't.

Trick or treating

Trick or treating with friends.What...perfect weather for New England on Halloween. It has been either very cold or raining on halloween the past three yrs we have been here. Today was amazing! Windy but warm. Tim wore shorts and flip flops while we were out. 71 degrees out. Conner was sweating so much in his outfit we ended up taking his Pooh hat off.

We hung out at the neighbor's house after all the fun had died down. Thanks for the pizza guys.

Carving

We love pumpkins! This year Kaitlyn loved taking the guts out! Conner did not want to touch it!

Peanuts

So before I put Conner in the tub last night, I had him straddle the toilet. He sat there for a little bit and I told him to push it out. Kaitlyn comes running over and encourages Conner saying, "Use your peanuts, Conner!!"

Finished product

Here it is....minus some of the wall art. Purple.....we got by with it by calling it purplish pink! I painted it while Kaitlyn was in school and taking a nap so it would be a surprise! At first she was a little disappointed and said,"hey this isn't pink, it is purple!" with a frown on face....and then all of a sudden she lit up and said,"my room is gorgeous! I love it!" I think it turned out pretty good. I think next on my list will be the play room. Color sure does warm up a house!

Purple

Well, we were busy today. Since I had already taped up Kaitlyn's room, I kinda had to paint it today! Well it is finished. And in between painting the walls we made it to drop K off at preschool, paint some more, to the doc for me (now on antibiotics and hopefully I will feel better soon), and more paint. All done so now I am going to sit on the couch and veg......dinner has been in the crockpot since this am. I think i am done!!

Scarecrow

Kaitlyn's class made this cool scarecrow! She talked about it for a week. Today we thought we would take a picture to share with all of you. Isn't this a cute creation? This is Kaitlyn and one of her favorite classmates, Caroline.

Conner is such a ham! Here the two of them are enjoying some Winnie the Pooh time!

We love our pumpkins

Yep, another pumpkin patch. The kids love all the farms around here and so do we. We can run and get dirty and look at all the "gorgeous" (as Kaitlyn likes to say) creation. I worked last night and got home and slept for just under two hours. Tim was home this am so I wanted to take full advantage of the morning...so off we went on another adventure. I love having kids and being with my family!

Bright!

Here is Conner's yellow room! He absolutely is mesmerized by it! LOVES it!! So it doesn't totally look put together but we are waiting until he turns three to get rid of the toddler bed and get some bunks or something. Now since I get the hang of this painting thing I will head to Kaitlyn's room with some lavender paint! Painting can be very therapeutic.

YELLOW

Look what i did today! Yes, I am proud. This is the first room in the house that I have painted. I have been too scared to paint. I did paint the stairwell down to the garage and basement. I tried that first so I could get the hang of it. The painting went so smoothly. The kids played downstairs for awhile then I put Conner down for his nap and Kaitlyn on the couch to watch Mary Poppins (they love that movie--anything with kids singing is a favorite!). I am done and showered and Conner is still sleeping....Two coats too....see how proud I am? Yes, Yellow...Can anyone guess who wanted their room yellow??
Yep...conner. He loves it. Tim wasn't sure but as soon as he gets his new bed when he turns three and I get some decorations up, I think he will like it as well.....Awwwww....one room down!

Balloon

We love balloons!! The kids go crazy over balloons! It is the little things....

Samantha turns 1!!!

I can't believe she is one already! The kids love this little girl. Their eyes lit up as soon as they saw her today. First birthdays are always sooo much fun! Happy Birthday, Samantha!!

Leaves

Well, it was perfect weather today. We were finally able to get to the school around the corner with the beautiful trees! I absolutely love these trees. The colors are just amazing. I love these trees in the winter as well. If you follow this blog you would have seen these trees several times. We made some huge piles of leaves and then just jumped in them. This works much better than having trees in your own backyard. The kids spent over and hour just jumping around and playing in the leaves.

Not an easy task.....

to get all 7 kids looking at me. It was cold outside so I couldn't take all the shots I wanted. C and C will be away in FL when we all go trick or treating but I wanted to get a picture with all of them in it so all the parents were very nice and got their kids dressed up tonight. Kids love to dress up so it wasn't a big deal for them...plus they got rewarded with candy. What a fun group of kids.

Then and Now

I can see a difference in how old this group is. What fun it is to watch these kids grow up together. We added a new little one on to the group this year, Samantha. Last year we trick or treated a couple days before she was even born and now look at her. We all got dressed up and hung out for a little while together so I could get a couple group shots.

Sleepy Head

I think Conner was playing upstairs for quite awhile before he eventually crashed. I opened the door to wake C up and this is how i found him. He is just like his dad....one sock off...that would drive me crazy...it actually drives me crazy when Tim does it soo of course it happens alot at our house.

My Flowers

Have you seen my mums lately? They are huge. I planted them last year and they were just small little things. Three of them really took off this year. I love all the colors. The purple ones are a little too big but they are pretty to look at. I definitely don't have a green thumb so this has nothing to do with me!
