Wind

My poor beautiful tulips! They didn't last as long this year. We still have several all in one piece but the strong winds yesterday tore off tons of petals! Oh well....there is always next year.

Picnic Time

While I was upstairs cleaning things up and messing around, K and C were downstairs telling me not to look yet. They were preparing something special for me. They must have prepared for 45 minutes! When I came down to enjoy their brunch, they were so proud of themselves. What a great treat!

Our Family

I love this picture! I love how she has all of us holding hands!

She will be here soon...

We will have another little girl in our family soon!! So excited! I just wish we lived close to all these babies. So I had enough fabric from Kaitlyn's blanket to make one for the soon to be here special addition! This one didn't turn out as nice but hopefully the baby won't notice!

Our buddy turned four. We went jumping for the party. The kids loved it! Can't believe he is four already!

Tidepooling

We found a new park up in NH. It was absolutely gorgeous! We loved it! The kids are definitely getting older. We all could hike out on some huge rocks and explore. Conner just had to be gently encouraged not to jump everywhere. We all had so much fun. The weather was beautiful. We only found sea snails but it was still cool. I think this is one of my favorite spots. I love discovering new places.

Do you guys remember this picture?

Well i finally pulled out this machine in the next pic below. I have had it since last year. Tim got it for me for my birthday! I had big plans......i did start a sun dress for Kaitlyn last year.....I think she can wear it as a top this year...if i ever finish it. Well, I finally got my creative juices flowing. I am not a person who can really sew. I am not much of a precise person. One day i was sitting watching tv and I pulled out all of Kaitlyn's old baby blankets and receiving blankets. I then took one of the kid's puzzle boxes and started cutting.

And here is the finished product! I love it! I also used one of Conner's receiving blankets in the mix. I hope to pack this away and give it to Kaitlyn when and if she has a little girl!

Sidewalk chalk

The kids had such a nice time with grandma. We are going through withdrawals! Kailtyn made this cool dinosaur. I thought it was perfect! Check out my lumpy. I am definitely NOT an artist. I don't have that talent but i thought this was pretty good! Conner loved it!

We miss you already!!

Our Getaway

We were fortunate to get away for a couple nights. This really is the first time we have left both K and C for a couple nights since C was born. It was nice! Thanks Grandma!!!! We went to a quaint little B & B in northern Maine. We took a nice hike to the top of a little mountain and had a great view of the town and ocean. We ate great food and slept on some amazing sheets! The weather held out for us but on the last day we had some rain! It was a very relaxing couple days.



East Coast towns are so adorble and OLD! It is fun to see all the history. Most of the town kinda shuts down in the winter. We hit it at the begining of the season so about half of the restuarants were open. We drove down the coast on the way home. It was beautiful and some of these houses are just amazing! We got lunch in Kennebunkport and sat and ate as we watched the surfers. The pic below is of the Bush's summer compound. It is beautiful! What a view!

Spring Hike

We took Grandma on a long spring hike with us! We definitely got our fresh air and exercise that day! It was beautiful. Plants and trees are just starting to bud so in two weeks the entire park will look different. It will just come alive! God truly is amazing and His creation is magnificent! How can one not see that there is a Creator?!!

Grandma is here!!

We made it to the beach several days ago! Grandma is here for a week and we are excited. The beach was all ours this time. It was in the high 60's but windy. Perfect for kite flying! Grandma brought some new kites that we had to try out so after a picnic we played. I wasn't brave enough to put my feet in but K, C and Grandma were! I don't know if it was brave or crazy! Castles were built, sandwiches were eaten, kites were flown, birds were chased and shells were found. It was a perfect afternoon!

Can you imagine

My little bro in law...who i have known since he was practically in diapers, flies these things. I know I am impressed!!!! WE are so proud of him! He really is a cool guy! ( Hope i win some brownie points with this one)!

The kids absolutely love these guys. They are our family out here on the East Coast. We are going to really miss them!

This is how we do it.....

When this family wrestles....we wrestle!! It is hard core! It always starts out well and it usually doesn't end as good. These rounds went okay...no blood...that is always important. Tim has taught the kids to sit back to back with their hands raised until we say go and then the action begins. I am not sure if everyone learned this way or if it is taught this way in the marines.....i never learned this way but it totally works out! These two can probably take on some heavy weights!!!

Sprinkler Fun

After the beach, we still didn't want the fun to stop! The sprinkler came out and we had loads of fun. We must of been out there for 3 hrs getting wet. Samantha came over to enjoy the water for a little while. The kids thought they needed to show her how it was done. The water was freezing but it felt good!
