The Frog Pond

The kids and I went and met Tim in the common the other day. He took a long lunch and we enjoyed hanging out. I love Boston Common and the Public Garden. I could go there every day and just take in the sights. For those of you that don't know, there is a huge "pond" in the middle of the common where kids can get wet in the summer and then in the winter they can ice skate on it. Every time we had been to the common as a family, the pond was closed until the other day. Kaitlyn wasn't too sure about it but it was around her nap time so that might have been it however you can see her posing with her hand up to her face. So funny! yesterday we went to sears to get some "Pro" pics taken (however i am beginning to think i do a better job with my pics) Every time we tried to get K to smile cute she would throw her hand up to her face or put both hands under her face.....to pose! It is going to be really hard to get a natural smile. maybe i take too many pics!!!

Beauty night in the neighborhood

Kaitlyn and her friend "Nessa" had their hair cut tonight. Kaitlyn had less hair than Conner taken off.

Our little Dutch girl

These shoes have been in the family for three generations. My grandmother(Din-Din)came here from Holland and with her she brought these shoes. Cute story huh??? Well anyway, as kids when we went to Din-din's house we would always try and see who could get to these shoes first and then we would wear them for who know's how long. My Grandma did not have hardwood floors like we do.......let's just say they are loud shoes. We use to just have them out as decorations but now Kaitlyn has finally discovered them and she loved the loud noises they make on the wood. Hey Isaac!!! Do you remember wearing these?? I have pics...i should find them.

Hair by Daddy

I was at work tonight and when i got home i found these pictures waiting for me. Kaitlyn has so much fun with daddy while i am away! Her hair is getting so long. Our neighbor is going to trim it for us soon. Any time the camera is pointed at K, she strikes this pose. So you might be seeing a lot more of it.

A little milk and some prayers go a long way

Kaitlyn absolutely loves to pray. She often reminds me to do so. She even wants to pray before her nap or just about any time. She also loves to drink her milk. Conner gets a kick out of it as well. They sure are right when they say your second will just be entertained by watching the first. Well so far at least!

Prayers for Grandma A

My mom had surgery today. Everything went well. Thank you for your prayers and please continue to pray for her rapid recovery!

Falling over

Conner has been practicing his sit ups! He was going after the peaches again. He almost got the basket all the way up to his mouth. He is strong. The picture on the floor shows how Conner sits. He kinda leans! He is almost there. I was going to see if he could do it before he turns 6 months. He has a couple weeks of trying left! He has sat by himself for a total of 30 seconds at one time. Kaitlyn loves watching. Jackie---if you actually read this you might notice this is the outfit you bought him. It is for 6-12 months...i am glad I tried it on him because i wasn't planning on putting this on him for a while but it fits so now we better get our use out of it! Thanks!

Big Cousin Isaac

I thought i would add these pictures for those of you who remember how special Isaac has been to me. He taught me a lot about kids that has helped me with my two. His Uncle Jeremy(who is like his dad) got him this bike. They are always out riding. He is fully decked out here with bike boots,glasses,helmet, just about anything you could want. I think this is as much Jeremy's toy as it is Isaac's bike. Anyways, Isaac is growing up so fast. He will be 7 in November. I miss him and i know Kaitlyn and Conner would love for him to come visit. He is a great Big Cousin!!

Backpack

We haven't had the backpack out since Kaitlyn was in it so this is the first for Conner. He absolutely loved it. We went to a waterfront festival today. He stayed in the pack for over three hours and slept for a little while then just loved looking around and smiling. I think this will be our new thing. Kaitlyn was in the jogging stroller. Anyone have any good recommendations on a double jogging stroller??

A fight with spaghetti

I know this is a little blurry but you get the idea. Kaitlyn is always hungry especially at bedtime. Lately it has been a battle at dinner to finish all her food. She knows how to use a fork and spoon but lately it is just a bunch more fun to use the hands esp. with spaghetti. So as we speak she is in the other room alone until she finishes her food and we can see Dora at the bottom of her bowl. This could be a long process. She just keeps saying "Nick...Nick...Nick". Nick is the neighbor boy she likes to play with and she knows she can't see him until she is done with dinner. We are going on an hour as of now. Lets see who can last longer mommy or 2 year old!

Race Car Driver

Look at this kid. Remember he is only 5 months old. He wants to do everything Kaitlyn does. Actually, he is really content just watching everything Kaitlyn does!

Out on the ole Farm

We found a new place today. Looks like it will become one of our favorites. This farm is only a couple miles from our house. We are excited to go apple pickin there soon. Today we picked some peaches and raspberries. It always takes Kaitlyn a little while to warm up. Conner was really into it...he was picking all the leaves instead of the peaches. Kaitlyn loved picking the raspberries. This farm has it all....hayrides, fruit, Christmas trees,pumpkins, festivals, farm animals to pet, huge lot of deer and a duck pond. I just loved Conner in his little outfit...he looked like a 12 month old. He is growing so fast. Oh and for those of you who know K is a little slow in the talking category. She is rapidly picking up new words and phrases. She use to say yah for her yes but now she has the cutest most innocent YES ever. I absolutely love it!!!

Time out

Kaitlyn is such a model. Now anytime i grab my camera she has to strike a pose. She was in the midst of painting and how lucky for me she took a time out for a picture. It only last a second and then she is right back to doing whatever it was she was doing prior to seeing the camera.

Getting in Trouble

Okay our perfect little girl isn't so perfect!! Yep she gets in trouble. This was her first big no no!! she has done little things but this was a big one! I am hoping it is not the begining of the TWOs!! We will see. I guess it wasn't that big of a deal but she knew it was wrong as soon as i saw it! I was upset so i sent her over to sit on the bottom stair and there she sat until i was ready to talk to her. It was all quite humerous if i was a bystander and now that i look back on it but in the moment it was quite serious!!

How old are you?

Look at him! It just amazes me! He will be 5 months tomorrow. Do you know what size clothes he is fitting into? 9 months! Yep 9 Months!! Crazy!!

HORNETS!!!!

The kids and I were down at the pool yesterday and i looked up to see if our birds had come back to make another nest. Well there was a nest but it definitely wasn't birds. I of course was totally surprise and grossed out and freaked out thinking all the hornets/wasps (whatever they were) were going to attack us at any minute. So we cut the swimming short. When Tim came home we had an eventful evening of trying to get rid of these things. It was hilarious! The neighbors even got in on the action.
Let's just hope they don't come back!!
