Old Man

See the hat Conner is wearing? Kaitlyn and I bought it for Conner to wear for pictures and maybe with an Easter gitup or something. Well Tim comes downstairs this morning and said it looked like an old man hat. UPHM! I loved it on him. He looked super cute and I thought it looked like an old paperboy cap. So i made poor Conner wear it everywhere today, to get him used to it. Plus we have to put something on his head to cover his crazy hair. Can you believe our little man will be 2 on tues. He is growing up!! On a side note it was 50+ degrees here today. We had a fun afternoon outside in the fresh air!

TADA

WOW!!! Spring is on its way. Funny because out here they have all the nice Easter dresses out but really it is still freezing so the dresses just aren't practical but they sure are cute! Kaitlyn's lungs sound soooo much better. Thank God!! And thank all of you who prayed for us! Now it is just a little ear ache that she has. So thankful! What a difference a week makes!

Dumbo/Pooh

Conner is crazy about Winnie the Pooh and Tiger! Here he is enjoying the show and then him mad that I turned it off. I am not sure if he was more mad that I turned the show off or that I was taking his picture. He does not like his picture taken when he is mad, as evident! This is Kaitlyn enjoying her first time watching Dumbo!

Girls day out!

Despite K's pneumonia, we ventured out to enjoy our Vday gift from Tim. Kaitlyn has been fever free for two days now. Her lungs still sound horrible but she was well enough for a little trip. We dropped Conner off downtown with Tim. They went to the aquarium and we went to The Garden. What a great time we had. I just wish Tim and Conner had been with us. I think Conner would have loved it esp. Mickey and Lightening McQueen. Kaitlyn was so happy and just waving at all the characters and so excited when they waved back. We were only 4 rows in so we had a good view. Kaitlyn and I took the train back home. She was awake for the first 10 minutes and then after that she was out cold. I love having a little one to take with me to fun stuff like that. Thank you Tim for an awesome present!!

My babies

So despite the smiles on previous posts, we have been dealing with a bunch of bugs around here. It has been over a month now. Last night i had a pretty good scare with Kaitlyn. She has pneumonia in both lungs. She is on her second round of antibiotics and a bunch of nebulizer treatments. She already finished her steroid doses. I thought she was over it but it got worse on wed. Then this morning her fever hit 105. I was worried about her having a seizure. I was able to get the temp down but took her back in for more blood work and another chest xray. Looks like it hasn't gotten any worse but I am still hesitant and not looking forward to the morning. I am praying God heals her tonight! Conner is now on his third course of antibiotics for an ear infection. We went through this last year as well and stupid me just remembered I should have called his ENT doc. He will probably need tubes this year. We will see. So this is a pic of the two of them today. It was a pretty rough day for all of us. I carried both of them into the doc office. One on each hip. I just wish Tim could have been there. Not that i really needed help but I just felt it wasn't fair that I couldn't just comfort one at a time. They both fell asleep on me at the doc's. So I put them to bed at 1845 tonight. They both went to bed with a fever and medication.
The actual cold weather itself is NOT (for those of you that didn't know) what causes them to get sick but I wonder if they would be this sick if we were still in cali...

Special Time with Aunt Rach and Uncle Mark

Uncle Mark and Aunt Rachel had to leave us a couple days ago. Boy it would be nice to have them here to help me right now.
We can't tell them how much we loved having them here with us. Thank you guys!! It means a lot to us that you made the trip all they way here to spend time with us (We know you only came to see the kids 8> ). Maybe we will see you in Orlando in the Fall!!

Making Cookies

Kaitlyn spent several hours after her nap creating beautiful cookies with Aunt Rachel. Uncle Mark helped with the decorating. What a nice evening. The cookies are good too! Conner had tons of fun at the museum but just wasn't eating much the last two days. He vomitted his brains out and they happened to land all over me!! My poor baby!!

Is it Spring???

It was 50 + degrees here today!! What a treat!! It is also a little tease but we will take it! Winter can't be over yet, we still have a lot of skiing left to do. This week is suppose to be above freezing so we are loosing a lot of our white stuff. After swim lessons today, I took the kids outside. We stayed out well past nap time. This was our first picnic of the year!! We had a great time getting very dirty today!! Does Kaitlyn face look like one of a little kid with pneumonia?? She is on her third day of steroids so she is feeling better and her lungs sound better! Actually , i don't think anyone would have guessed she had pneumonia...she even skipped into the doctor's room (which of course made me mad...i was like Kaitlyn act sick will you 8> ). Her lungs are a little weak so whenever she gets a cold it easily turns into pneumonia. The doc is going to start her on a preventative med when she is feeling better so hopefully we won't have to go through this again!

Mommy and Conner Time

Tuesdays have been fun. After we drop Kaitlyn off at preschool, Conner and i run to do grocery shopping and see if we can shop, buy, get home and put it all away in 1 hr! We have been able to do this for 6 weeks now. Then we head out to gym class. Conner loves class esp since his friend Thora is in his class and she usually brings her baby bro to watch us. He loves climbing, rolling and jumping. Between Conner's gym class and Kaitlyn's preschool, we all usually get a good nap in on tuesdays!!!

Cora is with Jesus today

The family has set up a memorial to build a play ground in memory of Cora. Please keep this family in your prayers! Kaitlyn has been praying for over a week now for this little girl! May God wrap his loving arms around this family!

Excersice

What a great idea. Tim was downstairs in the basement working on some stuff. K was able to try out her roller skates for the first time and just had a "hoot" ( like that word?) with them. She was all over the place. No major falls until we tried out the treadmill. It was hilarious. K and C were on it goofing off and I turned it on. I forgot it would start out kinda fast for them. It was right out of a comedy. So they were troopers. I turned down the speed and they walked on it for almost 10 minutes. That is one way to tucker them out. C was running to his bed last night and K was telling us how tired she was. Great family night!

Old School

Tim received the box he had been waiting for. It was full of some of his old toys he had saved for his kids. Well, we have kids so he asked his mom to send them to us. This is a homemade town. Tim's grandpa had made all the wooden buildings. The kids have been playing with the town for hours on end! What a great gift!

Friends

We had some of the neighbors over last night. They kept me company while Tim was gone. There were 6 kids under the age of 4 running around. I can't imagine that lady that just had 8 babies and will be bringing them home to 6 other kids. Insane! To each their own. Anyway, we had a good time. I think it is cool that they will be growing up together. It will be interesting to look back at these pics in the years to come. I think it will be cool to see what they look like in 5 yrs. Thank God for good neighbors!

Field Trip

So I took the kids to my hospital to pick up a check. We went in the middle of a snow storm so we were acting like this was a huge adventure....kinda was. So we explored the hospital and my break room. Kaitlyn always has so many questions when we walk through the halls.

Please visit this website and PRAY!! I found Cora through another friends website and she touched my heart. Kaitlyn and I have been praying for her several times a day! Kaitlyn has many questions regarding Cora. Out of the blue Kaitlyn will come up to me and ask to pray for her. God has placed Cora on Kaitlyn's heart as well. I can't imagine what these parents are going through! Please lift Cora's family before the Lord in prayer as well. Thank You!!

My Mountain Man

Can you believe it 43 degrees today! We definitely enjoyed it!! I think they are calling for some more snow tomorrow. We have already gotten much more snow this year than we did all winter long last year! Crazy!! But we are having fun!!
