This is what most evenings look like at our house. Tim has been teaching the kids all kinds of wrestling moves! They have matche
s almost every night. Esp the nights I am at work. Quite a comedy routine. I want to know who taught Conner to go for the jugular.

Guess who got in trouble?

I had sent Kaitlyn upstairs to find a thermometer. She came back down saying she couldn't find it but asked me if she could cut her own hair. I gave her a long speech how it is important not to do that and the reasons for it and on and on. Later, when we were outside playing I noticed she had already cut her hair!! At least she cut below the rubber band.

Samantha two years later

We were in Salem, Ma yesterday with our friend,Kat! It has been almost 2 years since this last picture was taken. What a difference two years makes!

Father's Day

We had a very nice Father's day. The weather was gusty and wet but that didn't stop us! I have some awesome pics of Tim and the kids however.......as you all know I can't post them on here.
Tim is an awesome Dad! The best! He teaches me how to be a better parent everyday! I love that guy and so do our kids!

Evening Fires

We had a nice saturday! Yard work, building things, weeding, planting.....on and on. The evening we just hung around the fire outside. The kids can't get enough of Grandma!

Strawberry Pickin with Grandma

Grandma made it to our house. It has been 6 months and we missed her. Conner is still trying to find out where Grandpa is. He loves his grandpa. Yesterday was her first day here. We had to go out and do something since this was going to be the best day of her entire trip. It was a beautiful day. Today is raining and the kids and I are under the weather......again!! UGH! Oh well.

Swimming

So we joined a swim club for the summer. I am sure these are just the first of many swimming pics you will see this year. Hopefully! This club has several pools....a huge one, a wading pool with fountains, a smaller one that is only 3 ft deep, and adult heated pool, and then this water park area. There is a grill there for yummy food and a playground. They have art classes, play dough classes and games for the kids to go to throughout the day. It is where I can drop them off and then go get a work out in. This is probably where we will be living for the summer. For some reason Kaitlyn wasn't diggin the water park area but Conner was having a blast! We all went in the big pool. It isn't heated and it hasn't had time to warm up yet sooooo oh my how it took my breath away! We stayed in there for quite a while. Conner now loves the big pool. We had such a great time.....all of this before I had to go to work! It was a great family day!

Apple

Conner can eat a mean apple. All the way to the core! Sometimes even the core! HA! He loves his fruit! He sucked down a nectarine yesterday with a vengeance.

Could it be??

Our first year of Preschool has come to an end! Kaitlyn is growing up so fast! The first 3 1/2 years of her life were definitely easier than now....at least in the parenting business. She now has her own thoughts and will and attitude. Don't get me wrong, she probably is still easy compared to many 4 year olds but now we actually have to parent and instruct and discipline. Yet another phase in a little kids life!
Kaitlyn loved her two teachers, Ms Debbie and Ms. Katie! We are going to miss seeing them every week. Next year, Kaitlyn will be in the 4 year old class and she will go to "school" 3 times a week for 2.5 hrs a day. She loves it. She loves her teachers! She loves her friends! How fun it is to be a kid!

Are you okay Marty?

So this week, Marty has been under the weather! I honestly thought he would be dead by morning. So I tried to prepare them....explaining how Marty will go to heaven where cindy lou and a little girl named Cora, who we had prayed for were at with Jesus! Kaitlyn and Conner were really concerned. So as we look in on the above picture, K and C stood there intently praying for good ole Marty. Marty is back to normal this morning swimming all around enjoying his life. We, as parents, get to use so many little experiences to teach and give God the glory!

The big yellow boat

Kaitlyn has been looking forward to this day for a couple weeks. A school bus trip! I decided I was not going to go with her this time. She is a big 4 year old. She walked perfectly in line to get to the bus and then got to sit in the very last seat with her friend Hannah. As we left the parking lot with her, I got really sad! I thought maybe I should have gone with her. I am trying to teach her not to need me as much but at the same time I want her to need me. I am so proud of her for being a big girl. Conner and I are just hanging out today until time to get her and then get me to work. I am working a bunch this week so please pray for my stamina and that i get some sleep! I can't wait to find out how Kaitlyn's first field trip without me went! I am so proud of her!

Strong boy

Conner is like his daddy...STRONG! He likes to try to pick up big things. As he attempts this, he makes the biggest grunts and moans as he pulls. Funny. The side picture here is a picture of our church. This is the old side of it. Historic side. I think it was established in 1735. The history out here on the east coast is amazing.

Good bye Sippy

Yep the time has come. Conner is now 2 yrs and 3 months old.....good bye handy cups! Hello spills! Conner has mastered the open cups in less than a week. Well I don't know about master but he can sure suck down the fluids! So no more sippy cups in our house! How sad! Yet another stage in life. Maybe I should keep them for the grandkids. That is my new thought on all the old toys, clothes and everything!

Conner's hats

He's a character! Tonight Conner kept grabbing K's new pink phone and talking to someone. He was so animated and keeps laughing really loudly while on the phone like he is talking to someone who is hilarious.

Prepared

Kaitlyn loves to be prepared. This evening we were going out to play in the yard. Kaitlyn needed her hat incase the sun was too bright. He had her new baby, the diaper back with food, diaper and bottle

Afternoon ride

What another great Sunday! We had an awesome church service! Loved it! After church, we headed out for a bike ride. We went to a state park in Newburyport. It was gorgeous! Creation is breath taking. If you remember from last year, the first ride of the year I took a huge spill with Conner on the back of the bike. I am not sure if he remembered this or what but for the first half hour all he could say was, "No fall, Mommy!" Then you can see in the top picture how he is holding on to my shirt. I always forget how hard it is to get up those hills on the bike. At one point we were struggling to get up a hill and I could hear Kaitlyn in front of us (on the back of Tim's bike) say, "Daddy, use your muscles!" I am so thankful for these family days!

They are the bestest of playmates. They are always looking out for each other.

Kaitlyn's celebrations are officially over! Thank you to all who made her birthday special! We had a total of 11 kids at the party. Just the right size. Next year I will definitely plan it around nap time but we still had fun.

Cake made for a 4 year old

How fun! I wish I had more time to work on this cake but since I worked until 330am that morning this was all the decorating I could muster! I think it turned out cute and the most important thing is Kaitlyn loved it!

We had a long day yesterday. After we had spent all morning in Boston and all afternoon playing outside with friends, Daddy finally came home. We had pizza and cake! Hot pink cake! Just a little practice for her big party on Saturday! Her favorite present so far is her princess camera! Just wait til i start posting the pictures she takes!! She took the best pic of Tim and Conner I have ever seen. Too bad I can't post it cuz Tim is in it. Oh well! It is a good one! She took the camera to school today and her and her friends took 95 pictures! Now mommy is rubbing off on her! What a nice evening we had as a family! I love those times together!
