Bean bags

K and C received their own bean bags with their names on them from Uncle Jeremy!! The chairs are loved and are so much fun. K wouldn't pose for me in her own chair. She loves hot pink so her chair is perfect for her but today she was all about Conner's chair! Thank you Uncle Jeremy!!

Mistletoe

Tim brought home this mistletoe from Okhlahoma City. The OC bombing memorial. I guess there is one tree that remained standing and they give the branches out to visitors. Kaitlyn loves it. She goes and stands under it and yells out that she is waiting for a kiss. It is quite funny and very cute! She would be like " CONNER COME GIVE ME A KISS!!!"

Gone for now but not for long

Do you remember this pic of my snowman? This was just last week. Well today it looks like this. The snow is practically all gone. We are suppose to get 6 inches by friday! It was 60 degrees yesterday!! Amazing!

Race Car Driving

After skiing in the morning and naps, Kaitlyn got to do another first. Her first go cart driving! it was a blast. We meet up with some friends and the track. She our silly head socks we had to wear! Kaitlyn and Conner made a new friend while we were there. They watched as we circled the track! It was a lot of fun driving and taking the corners really fast. I loved it!! I was a little nauseated the first go at it. K's new friend was able to encourage her to try out the kid track. They had to adjust the pedals and put two seats in the car to make it where she could reach the pedals. She was starting the get the hang of it. The pic of her in the car looks evil. She was so quiet during both skiing and the driving. Taking it all in I guess! Conner had a good time running all around. Maybe next year he will try skiing and driving! We all went back to our house for dinner and games. What a great day!!

Skier

WE are sooooo proud of our little girl!! Kaitlyn did awesome! She went skiing for the first time! She did awesome! We weren't sure how she would do once we actually got to the slopes. We found the perfect little bunny slope! Free for all of us which is really nice! She went on her first carpet ride with the skis on and was very intent on getting the skiing thing down. She was a real trooper. Perfect weather for skiing. Clear, no wind, temps in high 20's-30's. We actually had to take some clothes off. We headed home to take naps in preparation for the evening events. Race Car driving!!

Christmas Morning

Christmas was so much fun! We had a little birthday party for Jesus. The kids really had a great time opening presents. Conner is a pro at tearing the paper! We stayed at home with just the four of us. Steak,crab and shrimp for dinner....Tim did the grilling. Let me tell you it was the best dinner I had in a long time. Conner devours steak. Kaitlyn loves her shrimp! We took a long walk in the dark around the neighborhood to look at lights and to find Winnie the Pooh who decorates a couple lawns. What a great family day!! Loved it!!

Such a good big sis

Kaitlyn is an awesome sister! I don't know what she would do all day if Conner was here. Thank God for our two blessings! Kaitlyn was teaching Conner how to use the markers correctly! She is always looking out for him!!

Let it snow!

Here are the results of the two big storms that blew through! Last night after we put the kids down for bed early, we went outside to clean up! So much snow in such a short time! It is beautiful! IF only they would plow our road better!! Anyway, Tim jumped from our deck that is a little higher than a story! He jumped right into a huge mound of snow!! Then somehow he caught me off guard and tackled me! My face was frozen! Walking in our backyard, the snow goes to my mid thigh! As long as you have good clothes, the snow is so much fun! Now the wind today was deadly! The first pic is of my snowman that marks how many inches of snow we get. He is buried up to his hat! I think it will be a white Christmas here!!

Fun at the mall

This is the first time we have been able to ride on the horses(not the seat carriage) together. I ventured to the mall today (I know stupid) But we did. We actually had a god time. We had lunch at the food court and then rode the horses. K and C were side by side and i stood in the middle. I wasn't sure how they would do but they both were giggling the entire way! They loved it! WE didn't make it to Santa. Maybe next year!

Adult party/kid party

We had our neighbors over for a get together last night. The kids had a party of their own. They got to stay up til 1030!!! Of course they could have stayed up another few hours playing together. I was so impressed that all four of the little ones were so good!! Thank God for good neighbors/friends!

Yummy

These cookie were soooo yummy. We used premade dough and then rolled it out and used some cutters. The best part was icing the cookies and decorating!

Sleding at night

So I have some great pictures of the four of us sledding down our street last night however Tim is in them so I can't post them. I will send them via email to those of you that want to see them. Kaitlyn was able to do it last year so she was really excited. I get a little nervous because it is a very steep hill and I always think a car will come. Conner went with me and maybe some of my hesitation rubbed off on him because he would quietly fuss all the way down. It was a noise between a fuss and a WEEEEEEE!
Kaitlyn and Tim went down tons of times and at the end of one of the runs crashed into a snow bank and the snow went everywhere...right out of a movie.
We got over a foot of snow yesterday! Beautiful but dangerous. When Tim got home we did the sledding and then he wanted to test out our new snow tires on the van ( I so wish we new we were moving to New England when we bought the van....we would have totally got all wheel drive--oh well) So the whole family loading in the van for an adventure. No one and I mean NO one was on the road except for the plows. The van handled pretty well except for the now plowed steep hills we tried out!!! Can i tell you how scared i was!! I trust Tim but still I get so nervous sliding backwards down hill into traffic with my two precious babies in the car.
It is still snowing now. We were all going to go skiing today but Kaitlyn has that nasty cough and I am afraid it will get worse. So we might try tomorrow. Tim will go today and try skiing. He has been boarding for so many years it has been awhile sense he has skied.
The pic about is our on our deck. I need to take one out our front door and post it! It truely is amazing! God has such creativity!

Another change

Okay....so I am not Martha Stewart but I keep trying. Those of you who follow this blog have seen those two HUGE pics of my kids I put above our couch. Well, we turned our living room around and I took those down. I think they were a little scary. The pic was twice the size of the actual kids. So I did it a little differently this time around. I think it could still use more...maybe some paint on the walls...a new couch(we will wait until the kids get a little older---has some great stains.....) but for now it will have to do because I can't put any more holes in our walls!!

WE had a special treat this year. MA and PA (ha i thought you would like that) gave all four of us each a special bag to open before Christmas. We were actually all home together last night (even though Tim had been up since 230am that morning). We got a glimpse at how the kids will be Christmas morning. We are going to be in for it. Now all Kaitlyn wants to do is open more presents or wrap more presents. We all love our new pjs. Thank you guys!!

Gingerbread

I think Kaitlyn did a fabulous job with her decorating. She had such a good time creating and eating!!

Wheezing

Kaitlyn has had a really croupy, nasty, junky cough. So other symptoms really. She has been eating like a horse. She asks for three helpings sometimes. So I brought my sthescope home from work and she definitely was wheezing. To the doc we went. Here starts the season of colds. The kids are in sunday school, preschool and around neighborhood kids. They pick up germs. We wash hands and do everything we can to prevent the colds but germs will spread! Anyway after a nebulizer treatment, steroids and a chest xray (two hours later) , we were home wheeze-free. They are saying she might have childhood asthma or when she gets a cold it just goes to her chest. She had pneumonia back in april. So we broke out our nebulizer machine from that go around and have only had to use it once so far. She still has the cough but she doesn't sound as tight. We were still able to go out and make snow angels yesterday. We had several inches of snow yesterday! Tomorrow we are expecting a foot of fresh powder. Kaitlyn might get to try out her skiis!!

Ice Storm 08

So some of you might have heard on the news, New England is cleaning up from a ice storm. Just so happened to be while Tim is out of town. We thought the power was going to be out until Monday. Praise God, we have it back 24 hrs later. It was just too cold to stay in this house. The temps dropped last night so I am sure it got pretty cold in here. Plus it gets dark here by 4pm right now. I just thank God we found a hotel close and got a reservation. We actually had two reservations but the first hotel lost power as well. God was definitely looking out for us! So the kids and i stay at a hotel last night. I tried to make it an adventure but it would have been more like one if Tim was there. Oh well...he will be back soon. For those of you who know Tim's bro, He just got his wings (he is a pilot now) with the Navy! Very exciting stuff. It was a lot of hard work and we are all SO proud of him. Tim went to see Mark graduate! We wish we could have been there....esp while the storm was going on but we hope to see tons of pictures soon!
Here are a couple pictures from our one night stay! Kaitlyn got on my computer and it was occupying her for over an hour so I didn't complain. I just hope she didn't order anything accidently. This morning they got to watch cartoons in my bed at the hotel.

Christmas Cards

Backwards

Here we are at our town's Christmas stroll. The city closes down main st for several hours and has several vendors out, train rides, food, and all the shops and restaurants are open. Santa comes through town at the end. Of course it is pretty cold out but there is coco and cider along the way! So to get this pic, I ran ahead of the kids and started walking backwards to take the shot! From then on out the kids thought that was the coolest thing ever and had to walk backwards for the rest of the time! Well, at least until we made them turn around to watch where they were going!

SURE CAN

Kaitlyn is maturing right before our eyes! It is crazy how that works! So much changes in just three short years. I have always kissed Kaitlyn a lot but poor Conner! As I see Kaitlyn getting older, I want to hold on to Conner's baby years! He gets kissed TONS!! Poor guy! I can't help it! Anyways back to the reason I was writing. I just wanted to get this on computer (get it? we used to say get this in writing!-boy my dad's sense of humor coming out). Whenever we ask Kaitlyn to do something, her latest comments are, "I sure will!" or "I sure can!" She says this all day long. It really is a great answer! One I wish more people would say. I am not sure if it is because we have been talking to her about never saying "I can't do something!" Instead we encourage her to say I will try or ask for help. Never say I can't!

Our little snowman!

We had our first snow of the season this morning! Just a little glimpse of what is to come. Actually it was just some flurries! We took off for church early this am and Conner was trying to catch the flakes on his tongue the entire walk into church. He was going crazy! Totally loved it! When we got home Tim and I had a snowball fight....although we were definitely not dressed for it! Conner and Tim took a nap and K and I went out to play (after as you can see when got into our snow gear). We made our first snowman of the season! Small but I am not complaining. There will be PLENTY of snow in the next 5 months!
