OHH look at this mommy

This is what K continued to ask me with every ornament. she did most of the decorating. She did really well. I was impressed. It is always fun to look at the ornaments and remember why we have each one. We still have tons of Tim's ornaments from when he was little. Kaitlyn enjoyed the decorating......Conner on the other hand was more interested in his chicken nuggets!

Brunch

We had a nice brunch with friends saturday morning. They cooked for us which was really nice and very delicious! The kids did great and had a lot of fun playing with A and C. Thanks Guys!

Tree Cutting time

So we ventured out this am before Tim headed to work, to find our tree! We really want to cut ours down every year even if we could have a perfect one if we just go to a stand. So I have come to terms with not having the nicest tree but when i look at it I remember the fun times of picking it out. Well, it was raining again this year when we went but we had a much better time than last year. We were very wet and muddy by the end of our adventure but it was fun. Tim and I decided we are horrible at choosing trees. The kids had fun running through the trees and stomping in the mud. We are having fun building memories!

Thanksgiving

What a great day!! Our family has soooo much to give thanks for! We serve an amazing God!
Tim and I played tag team yesterday (Thanksgiving). Tim went to work in the morning and then came home in time for me to go to work. The kids and I had a great day. We just hung out. It was a little chilly outside but if the sun was hitting you, it was toasty. We went for a long walk and enjoyed all the quiet and the animals roaming around. Then we played outside until nap time. so relaxing and as i watched our kids play, I just praise God for them. They each are miracles that God has blessed us with. What joys! When I was at work, tim brought the kids in to see me for my break. Kaitlyn loved it. They of course didn't really talk until we got in the break room and then she became a chatterbox. Kaitlyn was full of so many questions! I love watching how her brain works! And Conner just loved roaming around.. he loves his freedom!

First of more to come

We hit another first....K's first class picture. There are three more kids that weren't pictured. Her class has grown from 5 to 9. She really enjoys it! I know this pic is blurry but you can get the idea. Kaitlyn is the only one not smiling!! I thought I had trained her better than that HA!

Hats..Hats...Hats

We were going through some of K's baby clothes for samantha and this is what we found. This is a hat someone bought for us when K was little. It now fits her. We had forgot all about it. She loves it!

A visitor

This afternoon our friends came over. Samantha was here for awhile to play. Conner thinks she is the coolest thing. He wants to get close but we need to wait for the snotty noses to pass. I have a feeling it will be months before the noses ever stop running.
I think I might have caught S's first smile on film. I am counting this one as a smile what do you guys think? We are going to have so much fun with her as she grows up!

Chicken nuggets and stuffing

Here is Kaitlyn at her big Thanksgiving feast. Her preschool celebrated with nuggets,stuffing,corn and tater tots.
This is her own personal chair at school. k spells her name aloud all the time now. It is very cute!

Betty Crocker

Kaitlyn and Daddy made yummy cookies. They used the exact same recipe as I do but theirs are TOTALLY better! New cookie makers in the house...watch out for the waist line!

What happens at nap time....

Well, as some of you know I have been working a lot of double shifts. Sunday was one of them. I usually go in about 245p and get home at 745am! So as you can imagine I really look forward to the kids nap time at 1pm. It usually means I am up for 30hrs straight before I get my two-three hour nap in. Well, monday was special. After being up all night, I put C down at about 1230 and let K play a little longer. Well, I fell asleep on the couch while she was busy playing. When I woke up I found stickers all over my shirt, some in the bathroom and a couple on the walls. Kaitlyn thought she was so funny. I then put her down for her nap and I was out cold. When i went to get her from her nap, her door was open, light on and she was playing which was fine by me as long as she is quiet and stays in her room. Well she announces to me that she used the potty a little bit ago. I asked if she washed her hands and flushed. She tells me she didn't flush, "because I didn't want to wake you!" She is so considerate!
I thought it was hilarious when i woke up and went to the restroom and looked in the mirror and saw my shirt covered with stickers. :)

Sunday School is invaded by Turkeys

I left my camera in Sunday School today, so I got tons of good shots of the kids. Usually there are more kids than this in K's class. It is a 2-3 yr old class. K's teachers are great and very creative. They put a lot of time and energy into their work. K is hiding in the back right of the pic. We really are enjoying our church!

Something new

Kaitlyn has graduated from her toddler bed to her big big girl bed! She did awesome! both Conner and K love the bed. It is a trundle so they are having fun with it. Kaitlyn wants Aunt Rachel to sleep on the trundle! Good luck with that :)!! I will have to take a picture of her room once i finish it. Tim put the bed together for us last night. I am planning on painting K's toddler bed ( it once was Isaac's) and putting Conner in it before Dec 3rd. I don't know how he will do but Dec 3 will be what age K was when we put her in it (21 months), when C was born. It went so smoothly, so i figure i will try it with Conner. He is my baby so it is no big deal if it doesn't go well. He can stay in the crib for a while longer and that is fine by me!

My how it has grown

Here is K today and then last August! My little girl is growing up SOO fast. This is when we first trimmed her hair and now i guess it is time to do it again! Her hair is practically longer than mine!

Cornucopia??

I am not a big word person. I rather see pictures. I love to read when i get into the books. I had forgotten what a cornucopia was. I had seen that K's preschool class was going to be making these this month but I just couldn't picture what it was. Well, here you go! They used a tp roll, put foil around it,formed it,wrapped a crescent roll around it, baked it, and then put carrots,raisins,blueberries and whatever else they had around to put in it for snack. I thought it was a cute idea. I am sure I have heard them called this before but now I have refreshed my memory. And oh how cutely K says "Cornucopia". I am sure there will be many more of these moments as K and C got through school. Re education is great!!

Yet Again!

OH Conner!! What are we going to do with you. Conner does fall alot. Kaitlyn did too! Maybe all kids do but to us it just seems like they fall a little bit more than "normal". Conner is very adventurous. He is all boy! So i told you all how we had to get his tooth fixed again after the stiches episode....well we just got the bill the other day and it hasn't even been paid yet and boom! This morning on the drive to preschool, I turned back and saw it...or should i say didn't see it. The chipped tooth was back! I am not sure if you can see it very well in these pics but ugh!! Frustrating. I would just leave it because it is bound to happen again however, the tooth is sharp and he likes to suck on his fingers and it will cut them eventually and one side is pretty narrow so I am sure that will chip off as well.. So monday we venture back to the dentist and hopefully this time he will just shave it down for me. It doesn't look that big in these pics but in person it is a lot bigger!

Good Morning!

The other day, I decided to just have to kids run around in their pjs until after breakfast. As I was getting breakfast ready, I could hear them reading books. Here they are enjoying each other.

Afternoon outing

I know you Californians are having awesome weather. And yes, I am a little jealous! We are making the best of our weather. Actually, it has been in the 50's during the days here...so not bad at all. Although, the weather man is calling for some snow on Tuesday. Since it was a rainy day, we drove down to the aquarium. Conner was actually really into the tide pool area. He was splashing around in the starfish tanks and having a good ole time! We didn't get to see Myrtle today. Instead we saw several turtles in their hospital section. One turtle looked like it had been snapped in half and was stapled back together. Pretty cool. And of course my favorite was my little penguins!

Spiky

"What did you do to me?" I sent Conner upstairs today and told him to have daddy do his hair. Lately, I have been using Tim's gel to tame Conner's hair and then i spike up just the very front of his hair. Well, This is what Conner looked like after Tim did his hair! I guess Tim won't be touching his hair again!!

My love Bug

I seriously don't know where she picked this posing thing up. I say i want to get a pic and she does all these things with her hands and keeps moving around. So funny! Anyway, a friend returned all the halloween costumes i lent her and Kaitlyn got into them and thought this hat would keep her warm. Which it does! It was part of her butterfly costume from last year.

POOH Time

I really can't remember if K or C received this when they were born but Conner has taken a liking to it. It is funny because a lot of kids have that one blanket or stuffed toy or something they take with them everywhere. Not Kaitlyn. She just hasn't developed that want yet. Conner hasn't either until this past week. He loves his pooh bear! He takes it everywhere with him. He loves on him and gives him kisses. So fun to watch! Here he is brushing his teeth with him and taking him to bed. I was actually trying to get a pic of his pjs because they light up in the dark and they are so cool when i put him to bed. If he doesn't enjoy them, i sure do!!

tooth doctor

Here is Kaitlyn with all her goodies from the dentist. This was her first visit! She was terrified when we first went into the room. I am sure i would have been too. I had to leave the room and once I did all the crying stopped and she did fantastic!! She was so excited when she came out. She loved her little goodie bag with tooth brushes and floss. She picked two balloons, one for her and one for Conner and she got three special stickers. The best part was no cavities and she has pearly white teeth. She couldn't stop talking about it. It was so cute!

All decked out

While I was at work last night, Kaitlyn and Daddy were preparing for the future. Kaitlyn now has her goggles and helmet. Daddy wanted to try on everything together. All bundled up, she can still move all over the house on these sticks! We are looking forward to some snow. Now I can wait til Christmas for it!! Fun times lay ahead!

20 months

Conner is growing up so fast. Kaitlyn was only a month older than Conner now when he was born. I always thought she was older than that but she really was a little baby still herself. Conner is the talk of the nursery. He is a charmer! He was waving a saying goodbye to all the ladies today. When Conner talks... he yells. There is no quiet voice for this boy. Everything is a yell. It can get a little bit embarrassing.
This is another pic of my little man. Here he is praying. As soon as I put Conner in the highchair, he goes into this pose. He covers his eyes with his hands that are already folded. Then he says soo cutely.."Amen!"

New girl in town!

Kaitlyn and Conner welcomed their newest friend to the neighborhood yesterday. This little girl is precious with the cutest little cheeks. Babies are such a blessing and a definite miracle!! What a gift! We are looking forward to playing with her soon.

Brotherly Love

These two are too much! They like to give hugs and kisses. They especially like to wrestle!
Say a couple prayers because Conner has to go back to the dentist. I am not sure if the fall loosened the composite they had put on his chipped tooth or if he just ate something wrong but his tooth is chipped again. I wish they could just give him some meds to knock him out like they did for the sutures! Tomorrow at 8 am we will find out!

Fun with Friends

Kaitlyn had preschool today. It was beautiful weather! So we got a pizza and went outside and ate at the picnic table. Then 4 other friends came out to play. V and N got to stay with us for an hr. Then we were blessed tons of clothes for Kaitlyn. Vanessa's mom is very generous to us. Thank God for that. We must have been outside for 3 hrs which in November in New England is great!!! The weather did my soul good!!

Hand N Hand

Kaitlyn was so worried about Conner! She took special care of him after he returned from the hospital. She was reading to him on the couch and this is how i found them..hand n hand! It just touches my heart to see this!

Just another Sunday

Well Sunday started out really well. We had that extra hour of sleep so it gave us plenty of time to chill out prior to heading out for church. Church was nice! I had a very good time. The kids had fun in their classes. We then headed home and changed clothes. ( the first pic is of them in their church clothes- well they were a little dressed up) We then went to our new favorite park! Kids were having a great time. Then......Conner tripped and hit his chin on a step up to the bridge. I knew right away that we needed to get some stiches. So we then proceeded to spend the next 3 1/2 hrs at the hospital. Conner was sedated.....i mean he was out cold!! Then they stitched him up with about 10 sutures! He was a real trooper. I am upset with myself that i didn't take any pics while they were working on him. I just hope he leaves the bandage alone. He shouldn't even remember the whole experience. When he finally woke up he was walking around drunk and falling down. I just don't want him to break the incision open. So anyhoooo. I had to call out of work the first four hours and then after putting Conner to bed for the night, I headed to work to finish my shift! What a Sunday!!
