apple pickin

We had a great time on Saturday! We love family days!! It is so much fun having Daddy with us for all of our adventures! We rode on several tractor pulled rides, picked so many apples (i have already made three apple pies with Kaitlyn's help and then we will make applesauce with the rest tomorrow),we got to pet tons of animals, eat cider donuts and just hang out as a family! It was great..everyone was in a great mood. I have sooo many pictures from the day...here are a few.

Costumes

Uncle Jeremy sent us some costumes for Halloween. Kaitlyn is a beautiful butterly and Conner has an old costume of Isaac's.....a skunk. It is a little big on him and a little too furry. He was swallowing black hairs for awhile. They have to have pretty warm costumes because i am going to guess that it is going to get pretty cold here by then. Can you tell Conner didn't really like his?

Sitting up

Conner is sitting up! He has been for the past couple weeks. I love this stage! He just sits there until you hear a big thud..and since he is so big it is a big thud! Then he just rolls over and continues playing. I was updating K and C's baby books the other day and i was noting that Conner is just about the size Kaitlyn was at 12 months. He is only 6 months. I wish you guys could see him. He is just too precious. His skin is so soft and he just loves to laugh!!

Crazy

This is a picture of our beautiful girl. We were playing around on the iphoto booth and this is what we created. I think i am going to have tons of fun with this Mac when i get to know it a little better!!

Driveway

So we tackled another task around the house this past weekend. Tim sealed the driveway. We never realize what a big driveway we have until we do something to it (seal it, plow it, try to get up it in the snow). It looks really nice and fresh! Not a big deal for most of you but i know some of you will appreciate it.

More giggles!!

This is just the kids hanging out at the house. Prior to the video Kaitlyn stole Conner's book and started reading it to him. This was right before bedtime!

The other video is at the park this afternoon. We went on a play date with the neighbors and Conner was just content sitting in the stroller watching the kids play. He loves other babies. He can sit there and just smile and laugh at them for 30 minutes straight.

M&M's

So this was one of K's rewards. One or two M&M's when she went potty. Here is K enjoying her rewards. I am not totally sure she is going to get the whole potty training this time around. I think today or tomorrow will be the last day of training...if she doesn't get it i will try again in a couple weeks. She really is trying I think. I counted 18 stars on her potty chart. 3 days and 18 stars sounds like a lot but i am sure i can count more spots on the floor than that. She is such a CHAMP!!!

Its all about style

Here she is.....always needing to be at her best even on the potty. The first day was rough. I had prepared myself for it but for some reason i thought our child would be the prodigy. I was sure she would get the hang of it the first day....not so. Thank God for resolve! This is a trying time for us. My patience isn't that much but i think we both did pretty good yesterday. We did get one little puddle before the day's end. However, after many prayers....today started off with hope. I was actually able to catch Kaitlyn before she pooped and we got to the potty. She cried like she was afraid to do it in the pot but while hugging her she was able to do it. We celebrated with the happy party dance, stickers and M&M's!! No pee yet today but we are staying hopeful. Pray for us!! I know curious minds want to know so i will keep everyone posted on the poop and pee situation! I would add the pics of the poop but i know not all of you are nurses so you guys don't get as excited as we do about those things. I might find a select few and email it to you guys. HaHAhahah!

Everyone is smiling....kinda

These are a couple of the pics from our latest photo shoot. I remember sweating so bad when Kaitlyn was a baby just trying to get a smile from her. Obviously not the case with Conner. I did do a naked pic of Conner so i could see his little bum. He ended up giving everyone a little shot of pee! Kaitlyn somehow messed up her hair right before pic time...not a big deal i still think she looks precious. We want to thank her auntie for the beautiful pink dress! Kaitlyn keeps twirling around so everyone could see how pretty the dress is. Someday i think i will have a real pro take the pics...not these photo places...i think i do a better job than they do. I wish Becky ( http://becky-photographer.blogspot.com/) or David (http://esquirephotography.com/) lived closer so we could hire you!! You guys do fantastic work!

Yeah for me!!

Okay so you might see a lot of posts in the next few days. I have decided not to go anywhere for the next several days in hopes of potty training. We have just finished our first hour and we are already doing laundry. K has gone through three pairs of training panties so far. I figure i will give it a shot and if she isn't getting it in three days then i will stop and try again in a few weeks. As you can see she has already recieved two stickers. However, i think the little dribbles in the potty were just residual but we are going to be so happy when there are puddles.

Two kiddos

Can you see the rolls on Conner's legs? Well they came in handy today at his 6th month appt. He weighs in at 19 pounds 9 oz ( 80th percentile) and he is 28 1/2 inches long (95th percentile). Well the rolls came in handy for his shots. He has plenty of spots to aim for and you don't have to worry about hitting bone. Oh he has his third tooth just about to break through as well.

Here she is again posing! She loves the girlie things but she also likes to play with cars, dirt and balls. She can throw a mean fast ball!!

Opps

Conner is a reacher! He constantly reaches for everything and when he gets his grip on something it is so hard to pry him free. Well....this morning he was sitting up on the counter watching me get breakfast ready when i heard a bang. He reached for K's cup of milk and was able to get to it.

New Toys!!

Kaitlyn got a pair of rain boots that she just loves to wear. We bought them so she can work out in the mud with her dad. Prior to the boots she was coming into the house with black feet from the mud. Here she is wearing them with her PJs.
The other pic is for you Becky. I thought i would show you our double jogging stroller. We tried it out for the first time yesterday. I love it. I love how the front wheel swivels! The kids seemed to enjoy it so far. Kaitlyn couldn't keep her hands off of Conner. We bought the stroller on Ebay. It doesn't have everything i actually wanted but it works pretty good.

Howdy

Conner is now 6 months old and rolling around more and more each day. Today I had him in the living room. I left the room to go do something and when i came back there was conner chewing on the leg of the coffee table. He is like our little puppy!!

All Laughs!

I need to get a better video of Conner laughing. This one of course isn't his best because it is at 730am when he should still be sleeping. It is hard to force him to go back to bed when he is in such a good mood. As i feed him his bottle he just looks up at me and cracks a huge grin and then giggles. This kid is the happiest around!!....Most of the time!

Itsy vs. Sunsine mountain

Kaitlyn loves to do the motions to songs. So unfortunately you have to listen to my lovely voice if you watch this. If you know the motions to this song you can kinda tell she is attempting to do them.

Kaitlyn also loves Itsy bitsy spider. She constantly wants to sing that one but the only part she really loves is when the rain washes the spider out!!

Sisterly Love

Talent

Lately, Kaitlyn has been wanting to use two forks to eat. I figure she will be mastering chopsticks before me. This isn't the best video but now I have figured out how easy it is to get this on the blog I will probably be doing more of it!

A Day at the Beach

So maybe i shouldn't of posted all these photos but you all know how i love pics. The best ones i didn't even post. They are of Kaitlyn and her daddy playing in the sand and water. Conner didn't take kindly to the water as you see but he loved sun bathing. I am sure that will change as he gets older. He loved just lounging around enjoying the noise and activity. Kaitlyn took awhile to warm up to the sand and water and once she did we didn't want to leave. Tim took her into the water and basically dunked her. She enjoyed it. She was coughing up water when she made it back to the tent. This beach is about 15 minutes from our house. I wish we would have discovered it earlier in the season. There is always next year.

Boo Boo

It is not that Kaitlyn doesn't fall or anything....she does plenty of that. We just don't react when she falls so she usually just gets herself up and dusts herself off. We encourage it! We do kiss away any of the hurt! This tumble wasn't that easy. We have a pretty steep driveway (steep enough to sled down in the winter). Kaitlyn and her neighbor friends usually race down it running! Well today she was out by herself and i said ready set go and she went!!!! She used her head as a stopper! The driveway is asphalt. She came up bleeding and there was not a simple kiss away this time! First time i think she drew blood! We made it past two years old before blood! Anyway, as you can see we bandaged it up and daddy instructed us to use ice on the big knot on her head!

Red Sox Night

Tim and I went on a date to Fenway. It was great! We road the T in and hung out with some of Tim's coworkers! Unfortunately, We lost but it was so fun to watch. Just amazing how we felt like we had gone back in time. The seats were so old and they were so close together. The vendors had the old look to them and the stadium just rocked with noise. It was definitely a sea of blue and red!! The babysitter made bank off of us! It was worth it!!
